Great! Damping CC 67! I looked in the online manual (imagine that!) and there are the CCs listed. Found the key switch layout in the Help menu. Looks like not all articulations Percussive right/left hand, tapping) are not listed. Would be great to have all articulations available as key switches.
Thank you for this! I found that some work and some don’t. Those in the C-1 octave range do, those in the C-0 octave range not working. I’m in Logic and EZ Bass latest version.
I’d also love to know where this was found? Hopefully will be in the manual soon if not already?
Also I’ve been wondering if Damping can be controlled from the host pain roll… cc data perhaps?
Understood. Not needed really, just wanted to make sure I’ve got it installed properly. thanks again.
Thank you! It now shows up as a plugin in Logic. It’s not in my Applications folder as standalone though?
The main product screen shows it already installed and Ready To Use. I downloaded it again, and when I click Install is just reads “Installed”. I’m attaching those two screenshots. thanks,

If you start the SD 2.4.4 installer and click the Customize button when it appears, what is shown then in the installer? Post a screenshot, please.
I meant keeping the SD3 sound library on a separate SSD from the EZX and SD2 sound libraries. Is that not possible?
Thanks John. Can I move those other midi folders in the User Folder, to the folder on the external, keeping them all together?
If EZ Drummer is taking a while to get going every time I load it up, would it be good to unlink everything, and let it do all the scanning again for a fresh start?
And the User Folder I would need to copy to the laptop external separately if I want those, it sounds like?
i I’ve got some additional questions regarding folder structure for Midi Files. I’m adding it here, not sure if I should start a new topic for this.
I keep my Toontrack Sounds and Midi on an external SSD, and am copying it to a new SSD for my travel setup and wanted to clean it all up so it can all be copied, as well as cleaning up the current arrangement as well. I’m finding that sometimes opening EZ Drummer, it churns for a while, andI think the messy location structure of the mid info may be causing this.
The locations are as follows.
SSD> Toontrack> EZ Drummer>Midi
This folder holds what looks to be all the Midi for the installed EZ Drummer libraries. But there are some third party folders in there as well. In the EZ Drummer Midi Libraries Setting pane they are listed individually under Third-Party
SSD> Toontrack> EZ Drummer>Midi>My Midifiles
This folder holds most of my third party (Groove Monkee/Odd Groves, etc) Midi folders
Internal HD>Users>Me>Music>EZ Drummer>User Midi
This folder seems to hold some files I may have marked as favorites within Ez Drummer? Not many, 10 or so individual files (not folders)…
I’d love to find out what the proper arrangement is for all this. And once I’ve done that, how would I reset(?) the paths in EZ Drummer, let it scan everything correctly and remove any old pathways?
Additionaly, can the User Midi folder be located in this folder on the SSD, so it can be moved with everything else?
I’m attaching a screenshot of the Midi Libraries pane in Settings, if that’s any help….
thanks again!
Doug
thanks. so should i keep the third party midi outside of the folder that holds the ezxs and the toontrack midi? it seems that when i tried to add the third party kristi to the search function it was saying it couldn’t do that because it was in the same location as the toontrack midi
thanks again john. regarding the midi, on my main setup I have all the midi in a folder within the folder that houses the ezxs. should it be outside that folder? on my main setup i’ve had some issues with getting adding the third party folder to the ‘include in searches’ in the setup sectio i think it says something like “cannot be added because this is where you’re ezx libraries are kept”. something like that.
thanks John. So in my case i should delete that folder and then… it will ask to locate the sounds folder? can i also point it to the midi libraries which i keep in the location (i think that’s done in the setup>midi area?)
Thanks John,
I’m wanting EZ Keys to access the midi (and sounds if that’s also possible?) on an external drive, rather than on the macbook pro HD. I’m doing this so I can easily keep my portable drives up to date with the ones I have in the studio, so I have everything with me when I write when travelling which is happening more regularly

Hi,
are you trying to split the location of the sound and MIDI files for EZKeys?
Or are you trying to add your own MIDI?
If the latter, there’s an ‘Add folder to Browser’ entry in the Menu > Browser.
