    Hello all,

Thank you so much for all of your help. It’s been a learning process and I’ve learned a lot from you all. I found a solution that worked for me in an older forum answered by Jose Sanguino back in Aug/21. The question was “Clear All MIDI Mapping Keys”. Some of you alluded to what I needed, but I didn’t have the knowledge of how to ask the question properly. I wouldn’t have found it without all of your help.

    Thanks much!

    Dave

    Hi Jack,

Yes, I believe you have nailed it. I’m a noob with midi. How do I go about remapping SD3 mapping to GM?

    Thanks again 👍

    Hey folks,

Thanking you again, but still no joy. Anything that I do to tom1 happens to tom2 (circled in pic). They are the same pitch, no matter what I try. And I don’t know how to change my kit to play anything except tom1 and tom2. It doesn’t have a tom3.

    Help please,

    Dave

    Replying to Mark King,

Thanks Mark. I want tom1 to  be tom1. I want tom2 to be a different pitch, basically tom3.  Or have tom2 sound like tom1 and have the “ghost” tom1 removed from the equation. I have a standard 5 piece kit with 2 racktoms. Yes, superior drummer is triggering tom1 and tom2. But it sees tom2 as being the same drum(tom1). In other words, my two racktoms have the same pitch. Does that make sense? Tom3 is not being triggered. I tried what you suggested with changing the pitch of tom2, but that also changes the pitch of tom1. I’m new to midi drums, so it could be something basic I’m missing. I’ve always worked with acoustic kits in the past. I thought this would make my life easier lol

    Thanking everyone for your help!

    Hi drumjack,

Thanks for the answer and it sounds like that’s my issue. The only problem is my ignorance on how to fix it. I’m an older dude and a guitarist, so please bear with me (I am learning a lot about midi). Unfortunately I don’t have a clue how to remap midi…I think my next question is basically about that.

Looking in the midi monitor window when I strike racktom1 the value is 48 and the same when I hit racktom2. According to the midi mapping, racktom3 in the SD kit has a value of 45. Is there a way that I can change the value of racktom2 to 45? (thus giving it the pitch of racktom3)

    Thanks again,

    Dave
