GO into the Roland head unit and reassign the midi to go from the regular cymbal midi note to the squelched cymbal midi note. Refer to the manual of your Roland product if you don’t know how to do that.
To know which note goes to which cymbal you can go to the main Menu (upper right)>About Sound Libraries>Select which kit you’re working with>Select Midi Layout.
Alternatively you could right click on the cymbal in EZ drummer 2 and select Details (in the lower right of the instrument panel) to find what midi note you’re looking for.
You can not solve this with EZ Drummer 2. You must solve this with your Roland by reassigning which note is triggered when hitting your cymbal. Or if you’re using your DAW, you can refer to about 17:20 in this video… https://youtu.be/4ExyBoFKgww

Thanked by: LibertinusIf you’re not using Standalone mode with EZD2, is the track you have EZD2 loaded on a “record enabled” track?
You should explain with more detail what your setup is, how you’re hearing the Alesis. Standalone or DAW? Are you using a midi interface, an audio interface, or just plugging straight into the computer?
*read page 38-40 in the manual if you haven’t already.

Never heard of such a feature, I may be wrong though.
If you don’t know already. Go to the main Menu in EZ Drummer (upper right), Go to About Sound Libraries, choose the kit/ezx you’re using, and select Midi Layout. That’s the most comprehensive way to see what keys do what on your piano roll to my knowledge.

Go to this menu in my screen cap. Select Track>Export Song as Midi. Do you see that option? That’s how you export midi. Midi does not contain sounds.
Do you know how to load EZdrummer 2 into Ableton? That’s what you need to do.

It’s not unless they’re Toontrack libraries.

You could export your midi track from your DAW as a midi file. In EZD2 while on the Browser Tab, right click on the User Midi Folder (orange bar on the right panel) and select Open In Explorer/Finder. Drag your external midi files (the one you exported from Reaper) into this folder on your computer, and that midi file will show up in your User Midi Folder in EZD2.
Maybe someone else will chime in if there’s a better workaround.

Thanked by: Scott.HoggIf you go to the main menu (upper left above EZD2 logo) and select Settings>Audio Midi Setup, you can chose your Device Type and then select the Output. This is where you make you Audio Output selection when you’re in Standalone mode.
You don’t mention your OS, if you have an audio interface, or if you’re using the program in Standalone mode or with a DAW.

I don’t own every expansion pack, especially from the last year or so. These expansions below aren’t focused on brushes or no-snares, but they do have them.
Brushes: Jazz EZX, Nashville EZX, Traditional Country EZX, and Vintage Rock EZX.
No Snares: Nashville EZX, and Rock! EZX.

I understand you have EZ Drummer 2 loaded as a plugin inside of Logic, not as the standalone program.
Have you dragged midi files from the EZD2 Browser or Search Tab into the Song Track at the bottom of EZD2 yet?
As an alternative, you could drag the Browser/Search Tab midi files straight out of EZ Drummer onto the Logic track as a workaround if you’re experiencing a bug.
There is a large “Follow Host” button at the bottom of the EZD2 where the Transport is. Make sure that is engaged.
I have never had EZ Drummer not sync with a host it was loaded into. So I’m not sure how to help at this point. Sorry.

Are you creating a Software Instrument Track in Logic X and adding the EZD2 plugin to that track?

Thanked by: IL ParkIt doesn’t look good buddy. “This means that the MIDI notes the device is able to transmit to the DAW cannot be changed!”

It might be possible if you’re using Studio One that you can configure it further. I wouldn’t know though.
