Midi packs do not give you new sounds. But EZXs do.

If you happen to be new. Try lowering the velocity of you snare notes. You’ll get a lot less attack and more snare. Also, if you choose a preset that has more than one snare channel, you’ll be able to turn of the snares/wire mic to emphasis a less aggressive sound.

    Audition Low Velocity here.

Just delete the midi in Logic if it’s in SD3. You’re triggering the midi twice I assume.

If you need midi to be in both places at the same time, mute the midi in one of the places.

I prefer to record directly into SD3’s Song Track, not my DAW’s track, and never move the midi to my DAW until it’s necessary. But everyone has their reasons to do one way or the other. My reasons are here.

No. They will just load up as you remember them in EZD2.

When you click, you preview at 100% velocity. The equivalent of you bashing your kit. Adjust sensitivity in your roland or in the Edrums settings in EZDrummer. Settings > Edrums.

Double click the Groove in the Song Track/Timeline so it launches in the Grid Editor and is highlighted/focused on.

With the Pointer Tool, drag a selection around the dots/hits you’re interested in. Right click on the selected dots and hit copy.

Move the cursor/playhead to where you want to paste them. Right click near playhead and select paste.

There’s a lot of solutions, but if it’s really particular notes, you must use the Grid Editor. You select/copy/paste like you would in a Word document.

If you haven’t stated it yet. EZDrummer Menu > Settings > Audio/Midi > buffer size. Everyone is assuming you’ve tweaked this area already.

In the Product Manger look under EZX Sound Expansions (under EZD3) and see if you have installed EZD3’s Core Library yet or not. Install that if not.

In the top black header area of the site. That search bar works for the forums as well.

Martin is good. This is tough, “CPU @ 1.80GHz”. Not sure how you can survive, maybe with an audio interface as suggested. I don’t think you need a $1000 one. All you need is an interface, like the cheapest 2i2 from focusrite. If it doesn’t fix it, I would assume it’s your processor. Echoing Jack. You may see it say somewhere that you have 5.6ms of latency, I doubt you would be here if that were true. It has to be more if you can’t play to it. “sounds terrible”, so I guess there’s more than latency issues?

I own a RME 802 $$$… and I backline a Roland at work with a $100 interface that is 20 years old. No issues. The processor needs to work. Jack uses a 3.46 (from his sig) and mine is i9 3.0. Here’s where my assumptions come from.

I’d go through the effort of borrowing a laptop with a near 3.0 GHz and go through the extra effort of installing SD3 just to test. It may be an expensive journey replacing everything except your computer only to learn it’s the computer. After you get a computer, check the latency, then get an interface if you need to improve it from there. Even though it’s an i7, but “1.80”, i hope that’s a typo.

Hopefully  someone has experience with a computer powered such as your will correct me if I’m wrong. All assumptions here.

    Best of luck.

Some manual labor but you’ll get the exact answers you want with the Webshop Midi Button.

You are missing a DAW and an Audio Interface that has the amount of outputs you need.

If I’m wrong and the Roland Module can somehow accept 16 tracks of isolated audio and then assign them to it’s individual outputs, I assume someone will correct me.

EZ can not fix the same midi notes coming in. Switch whatever Tom you feel like on which ever module. You just need to find an available midi note to use. Help Menu > Show Mapping.
