Mick’s recommendation works. Drag an audio file on top of an instrument in EZDrummer.

If you need both cowbells to have real velocity, you’d buy an EZX that has a cowbell kit instrument, Big Stage EZX for example. Now you have two cowbell slots.

Or you use two instances of EZDrummer at the same time in a DAW.

If you’re on 4i4 3rd generation or above. The 4i4 comes with it’s own virtual mixer. The feature is called Loopback. The manual/videos should cover it. When enabled, it will allow a different audio source for OBS to find. Not sure about Win10 capability.

It’s as you’ve said it. It’s referring to the stick. Edge is the Shank (side) of the stick.

Some generic audio setup info here.

Feel free to share whether you’re new to edrumming. Your computer specs. Whether you use an audio interface or not.

If you’re in a DAW, the DAW dictates the Tempo when the follow Host button is enabled in EZDrummer (lower left button). If you’re not in the DAW, the tempo is determined by the Project Tempo at the bottom-middle of the EZDrummer’s interface. (also, the first drum Groove dragged to EZDrummer’s timeline dictates Project Tempo)

    Yes.

I don’t explain Loopback in this video but only introduce it.

    Roland > USB > Computer.
    Computer > USB > Interface.
Switch EZD or Reaper to Interface in settings, whichever you’re using.
    Plug headphones into interface.

You need to learn Loopback to stream audio in from other programs. Otherwise, import individual audio tracks into reaper to jam to.

I said use a DAW, so you could bring individual audio files (songs) to jam with. Not stream in media from a web browser or apple music for example.

The simplest setup if you just want to jam and not record is you get an audio interface with “Loopback”. The least expensive Scarlett 2i2 for example (3rd generation or higher). Loopback will enable you to pipe in audio from other applications while EZDrummer is occupying your audio driver. These interfaces come with a virtual mixer so you can mix EZD with your other audio apps to a degree. I use RME which is expensive, but has no limitations.

A vid for generic audio/toontrack setup options.

I didn’t recreate your issue entirely, but have dealt with it in my own ways. I believe all EZD1 generation EZXs have a mandatory alternate hit. Best of luck.

Select Grooves Tab >Select 6/8 Filter > Select Webshop Midi Button. If Toontrack made it, you can find it now.

    To my knowledge…

You can go to Settings > Advanced > Hit Variation > Low. This will fix it. But not in a way that sounds pleasant to me. Do try it though.

Only Superior Drummer can natively disable Alternate Hit and still sound as natural as possible.

There’s lots of custom ways to figure this out depending on the user and experience.

If you want to give up listening through your TD27 and buy an audio interface and then use a DAW, that is typically an end game solution unless your computer is so old/slow it simply can’t handle whatever you do audio wise.

You never mentioned adjusting buffer settings, but since you said you tried all, you obviously put most of your time there.

Based on your screenshot you might have confused Bandmate with the Replace MIDI functionality. That has a similar look to the EZ Keys that you are describing.

The Bandmate play button has never been able to follow host. The Song Track, Grooves Tab, and Tap2Find do. Bandmate never did. “% match” never existed in EZD’s Bandmate.  And as for all of the sudden, we’ve been on EZD 3.0.6 for a while now. Nothing has changed recently.

I’m sure a Toontrackian will correct me if we’re wrong.
