Not sure if you’re referring to a Mid Out workflow by your wording. But for EZK/EZB to control something else is no prob. Here’s a vid for that.

I choose it and then apply swing. There’s no indicator that I can see. I’m not even sure that futurhit instrument show up in that search since there’s a separate “Add Futurhit Instrument” option in the menu.

Thanked by: KorkenEZD3 can swing a futurhit instrument, so i assume when SD4 comes out this will be resolved, fyi.
Remember, you could always import and audio sample/one-shot for a quick solution. Add Instrument > Import Audio File.
It seems SD3 should have it by default, see attached.
Not sure if this is a complete list because I only looked visually:

Thanked by: Scott EshlemanIt’s a limitation to the Futurehit Instruments.
I’m not sure what SD products you own. But if you Search For Instrument and see some percussion there that’s not a Futurehit instrument, you can get those controls to work.

You might be right. If you are, you would load up that EZDrummer2 Library, which is an EZX in EZD3, and use that assigned articulation for that specific EZX.
Hopefully a mod will swing in and correct us after the weekend though.

There are very few EZXs that have two snare slots which is the only way to natively do it.
Using two instances of EZDrummer in a DAW would be a workaround to play with.
Superior Drummer does this natively.

There is no key.
Midi controllers might have a feature that repeats a snare hit. Nothing to do with EZ.
Older EZXs might have an articulation that hits more than once.
There is a snare roll filter on the Grooves Tab.
You build it manually in the Grid Editor or Edit Play Style.

Did you try this a second time just to see if the behavior is consistent? Do a quick test if not. Maybe you hit something really bad on accident.
If by New file you mean in the Upper left File Menu, that is not where you select a New File. That would mean an entirely new project. You want to hit the New Session button in the upper right of your first picture.

Thanked by: Scott EshlemanNo prob.
Follow Host must be enabled to play along in FL. EZD is the guest, it only takes commands from the host.
It’s a particular and unique thing you’re going for, I could only guess at what you should do if FL is not in charge of the Tempo or a Tempo Map.
EZD Humanizes by default, unless you purposefully gridlock it’s performance or importing gridlocked midi files. That seems to work for the high majority. I personally only tempo map in a DAW, if I feel the need and have the time, and then perform to that metronome from the Tempo Map and the midi instruments simply follow it as well. That’s just me though.

It looks separate from the forums, but the black search bar at the top of the site will work.

Do I quote you if I ever use this, Jord? Is this a lyric?

I agree, we don’t know. I’m not going to help him with a totally dead drive though. If he’s not backing up mission critical stuff, It’s my advice for a non-tech user. Just stop and deal with it. My TT and sample drives aren’t backed up, I’ll deal with that headache if it happens. My project drives are, so I can afford to toy around if problems arise.
When I buy budget drives that die quick, this is the behavior before they fail. Not having access to the entire drive when it does come up is a symptom as well. It gets scary fast, trying to backup a failing drive and the transfer fails 80% through. It’s just be-safe advice. I appreciate anyone being savvy, but it’s not a time to learn unless he can afford to lose the drive.
And I agree, if he has a tower and multiple drives, he could just unplug a healthy one, data and power, and see if it comes up. His symptoms remind me of past experiences and his responses encourages my advice.
On the other side of this. I’ve learned to go cheap with drives I can afford to lose, and always go name brand and reputation with mission critical drives.
