    I’ve had the “unasked for choking” happen while using my Akai MPD218 when programming. Found that when accenting a kick hit with a cymbal at the same time I was holding pressure on the cymbal pad too long. This made the cymbal choke. When I would tap the pad quickly and release it was fine and did not choke the cymbal. I’m sure you found all these responses answered your issue. Figured I throw in 2 cents.

    Absolutely agree. With grid editor i’m trying to work exclusively in EZ3 for faster workflow. Definetely would appreciate it.
