@John – I am considering buying SD3 with Rooms of Hansa & Death and Darkness but was also considering an 8 tom kit library (which is what I use as a Roland E-Kit with two modules into 3 instances of SSD 5.5 hence the want to switch to a better MIDI mapping solution) such as Area 33 Origin or The Drum Factory.
If I used the Drum Factory or Area 33 Origin GUI, I could effectively have a graphic of 8 toms but switch them to the rotos/octos/standard toms from any kit as well as bass/snare/hat/ride etc. correct? Or using the solution you have above as well and just map what I want out in the two Roland modules with presets (as I do currently switching configs MIDI note wise on the modules for some things as needed – separate bell pad can be a cowbell or I could run two china’s instead of one etc.)
