Most likely the mapping is based on keyboard finger drumming and a mapping scheme that Toontrack has used for years.

Hi Scott,
I realize what it was designed for, which is why I purchased it. But slathering the snare and toms in reverb isn’t helpful when you’re composing and producing Promos and Trailers, especially when endings need to be dry, or stems need to be delivered and so on. I literally have no control over those samples, which makes them worthless to me.
I’m sorry you are not happy. I’m afraid I can’t offer much more support than that in this case.

Thanks, Scott. I’m not gonna lie, I’ve been a HUGE fan of Toontrack until this purchase but I will be very hesitant to purchase any new kits in the future.
I’m still absolutely floored that Toontrack created a scoring kit yet doused all of the samples in either reverb or room mics. Not one reviewer said that the reverb was built-in to the samples. I’m just floored and at a loss for words as to the short-sightedness of this EZX.
I don’t believe every kit piece was recorded with reverb or room sound built in but they were recorded as the producers intended. Some distant mic’d sounds. Acoustic drums and drum machines. Designed for soundtracks and soundscapes.

Well, this is a bummer. Had I known that reverb was built into these samples (which is why I asked how I could turn it off) I wouldn’t have purchased this EXZ because I want to use Lexicon & TC VSS3 reverbs as I see fit.
Am I able to return or re-sell this product? I own more than 75 of your products and this is the first time I’ve come across a kit that had built-in reverb. This product is just not going to work for me, at all and I’m really bummed out over this purchase now.

Update, EZdrummer and bass seem to be working properly on the midi drag and drop now but the bug is still an issue with EZkeys.

I believe there will be a fix for that in the next update of EZkeys. I do not have an ETA however.

Thanked by: MalinariHi John,
It’s odd that you can’t see the jpg of the Mixer Window in Superior 3 because I can see it clearly in my last post. I’ve attached it again below and linked it to a different source.
As for your question, I’m not using any preset kits and have never used a preset in more than 20 years since becoming a Toontrack user. I pull up a kit, zero out absolutely everything and I create my own kits. I’ve tried to do that with Action! but again, there is no Mixer Channel for Reverb and no effects are loaded into individual channels.
Hopefully, you’ll be able to see the jpeg. Thanks for the assistance!
Mike

If you’re using the default kit, you are hearing how the samples were sampled. If you’re hearing a reverb sound, its built in to the samples and part of the sound as John points out.
BTW, your pervious post doesn’t show a screenshot for me either.

“It is under Steinberg for the VST plugins. So I cant click on that pathway as written for ezbass.”
I don’t understand this. That is “it”?
You should be able to click the Edit path list and navigate to C:\Program Files\Vstplugins\Toontrack

You will need to at the EZbass path in Reaper for it to find it.
EZBass pathway: C:\Program Files\Vstplugins\Toontrack
EZD2 isn’t a VST3 plugin so if the post is added it should show up as a VST2 plugin.

The drum MIDI packs are optimized for 1 kick, 1 snare, 2 toms, 1 floor tom, 2 crash cymbals, 1 ride cymbal. Any sound library with those kit pieces will play back as expected. If you choose a sound library with more kit piece you can always edit in your DAW if you want specific kit pieces triggered.

I am getting the same problem with Seventies Rock sound library not working and to update, but it is up to date.
I have two laptops, both HP with Windows 10.
It works fine on one of the laptops but not on the one I am needing it to work which also has my Pro Tools 10 set up.
All my other EZ kits are working fine, just the Seventies Rock kit issue as above.
