Where can I find the drum maps for Superior 3?
MIDI layouts are library-specific.
In SuperiorDrummer3, you can find the MIDI layout for any of your installed libraries under >>Help >> About Sound Libraries.
In my experience, if the installation & update files remain in the “Downloads” folder designated in the Product Manager,
and that folder is connected & visible to the Product Manager, it should not prompt you to re-download them again.
That said, if you simply install your products, libraries & updates from wherever you have saved the installation files,
the Product Manager should see the products & libraries once installed.
Then, it should continue to monitor their version numbers and prompt for updates, when available or necessary.
That’s been my experience, anyway.
there is an FAQ (Frequently Asked Question):
https://www.toontrack.com/faq/how-do-i-move-the-sounds-for-ezdrummer-2/
…and a cursory search of the forum found this post as well:
https://www.toontrack.com/forum/studio-corner-1/has-anyone-been-able-to-edit-the-ezdrummer-content-path-yet-in-sd3/
You don’t need to use Toontrack Solo with SuperiorDrummer3.
SuperiorDrummer3 runs as a completely standalone program application
as well as a plugin within a DAW.

Maybe it would be a good idea to let SD3 create the folder automatically when installing if it’s missing. After some research I could finally solve this exact problem, but it took some time and I’m sure there are plenty of users out there having the same issue with the missing folder. For me the user midi function was the final piece for this astoundind plugin, but I think this issue, as small as it is, should not appear for the sake of satisfaction
. Maybe you can add some sort of automatic folder creation in the next update!
Just my two cents

Not to make excuses for anyone, but like anyone who was already running EZDrummer2 and/or SuperiorDrummer2 on their system,
the User MIDI folder had been created quite some time ago. Must have slipped by in coding & testing.

Can someone using a PC tell me the correct location of their USER MIDI file and I will create one.

I hope Toontrack fixed that problem soon.It is no solution to reconnect the instrument every time I open a project!
And how I see it is a PT12/SD3 problem indipendently from OS.
_ PT 12.8.2×106
_ SD 3.0.3
_ Win 10 Enterprise 1709Which version-complex makes no trouble? Anybody who have no problems with older versions or other version-complexes?
Not to point fingers, but I’m not so sure that this isn’t a Pro Tools issue.
As I noted above, I sometimes have the issue in PT12 but never have it in Logic Pro X, Cubase or Mixbus32C on the same machine.

Hey all,
I literally cannot drag anything into the user midi folder. It doesn’t work. I’ve wasted hours (and I mean hours) trying to figure out why it will not simply drag and drop into the folder. I’ve tried dragging it into the main “gray area” and I’ve tried dragging it into the small user file and nothing reacts. No error, no warning, no nothing. Even after dragging I tried sync file changes and nothing is there???The annoying part is that now I see that all “you” guys can simply drag and drop which is very frustrating. I removed the favorites star and it also did nothing. I’m not sure what settings I have different than you guys but for whatever reason it does not work. I just installed the program and have set nothing different. The rest of the program works fine but this one thing (which is the reason why I basically bought it) doesn’t work. Such garbage.
It is going to be annoying that every time I have to export just to make a midi file….
I see that you’re running on a Windows PC. I’m on a Mac, so I can’t test my theory for you, but
is it possible that the location designated as ‘User MIDI’ is located in a folder restricted by the Windows UAC (User Access Control)?
Try removing UAC from the User MIDI folder. Or moving the location of User MIDI folder, if possible.

any more thoughts?
Sure. I suppose that your suggested business model until recently, when Toontrack went to download-only product delivery,
would have meant a lot of variant boxed products. Expansions with software. Expansions without software. …for each SDX & EZX.
Question for you; what would be your price point for the SuperiorDrummer3 software & a user-selected library package?

…Superior Drummer 3 plug-in is turned off in Pro Tools, rendering the MIDI files gray? Can the MIDI files be muted?
I’ve experienced this occasionally as well…only in Pro Tools. I have not experienced this in Logic, Mixbus32C or Cubase.
I’ve found the circumstance that Henrik refers to in his response to cause the symptoms that ‘optera’ describes.
Displaying the ‘Instrument View‘ column in either the Mix or the Edit window may reveal a ‘disconnected’ SuperiorDrummer3.
I’m not sure that I’ve found a clear cause for the disconnect but
it can usually be reconnected right there in the ‘Instrument View‘.
(As you’ve noted, removing & reinserting the plugin will usually also fix the disconnect as well.
However, you may lose any changes you’ve made within the SD3 plugin.)
Hav,
I’ve been looking for some plugins that scale to support high DPI.
Can you help a brother out?
Lookin’ for a good EQ, Compressor, Reverb & Delay.
Thanks.
