    Hey Matthew

I haven’t spent much time with EZX. However, I can say that with SDX you can definitely tweak MIDI performances to fit modern praise and worship. However, in saying that, it would still be much faster & easier if Toontrack made a more tailored Modern Praise & Worship SDX (based on Hillsong, Bethel, Elevation, Maverick City etc etc) expansion pack for us ☺️

This genre is quite different to the traditional ‘Gospel’ genre.

Hey everyone! I recently purchased this expansion & also had the same question.

Fun fact, if you have other Toontrack SDX libraries & midi packs you can actually search for toms and snare for example, which obviously then triggers the Orchestral instruments when you have the Orchestral SDX kit loaded.

So, you can theoretically get some weird and interesting performances (you’d then tweak them) for extra options. Sometimes you get it to sound cool and natural. It’s bit of hit and miss and clearly not ideal. But worth trying while there aren’t many midi performance options yet.

The only other option is to play the performance yourself of course, which is probably what they were thinking initially. You’re mostly paying for the samples after all.

But yes, I agree, Toontrack needs to create an additional midi pack for this library with at least 300-400 midi files. I would purchase it immediately!

    Dear Toontrack team

Now that you’ve done a gospel SDX, it’s time for Modern Praise & Worship drums and midi packs!!! Referring to Hillsong, Bethel, Elevation and River Valley worship (massive and fat) style rock drums.

This market is MUCH bigger than Gospel. Heck even bigger than any other existing SDX in my opinion.

And the midi grooves are actually simpler in most cases I think.

It’s a no-brainer for me really. And I would be first person to buy it!! We may actually use existing drums and tweak them if needed.

I recently bought Fields of Rock SDX which has some sick rock drums already. But the played worship midi grooves is what’s most needed.

Hope you guys are listening again (or already in progress) 😉

Hey guys! I do agree that the modern Praise & worship genre is completely overlooked and the Gospel Series for drums and bass does not include much of it to be honest. At least, from the product demos I can’t see much anyway.

I’m sure Toontrack will eventually do their research and see that it’s a massive market to be tapped into.

I hope it’s really soon and that it’s the next EBX and SDX in the pipeline!! 😀
