Sorry for reviving this old thread.

I am currently facing the same question – although my DAW would be Reaper or Cubase – but I guess this would not make so much of a difference.

I might want to try switching presets using midi then, do you have any insight on that?

Midi->Keyboard might be an option, but sounds like a workaround for something that should actually be working out-of-the-box…

Will keep you posted on my progress.
