Thank you, and yes I did some custom installing so I think he would be best to start over – downloading direct to external hard drive.
Amazing stuff, and thank you.
I will give it a try when I’m back in the studio this weekend !
Okay guys, got it working and thank you!!
From the Instrument track, I created some Aux tracks, and Audio tracks – bussed everything out nicely and can now record on Pro Tools direct.
Next up; dialing the kit in.
Thanks to all once again!!
Thanks and will let you know for sure Mark, can’t wait to get back in the studio now !!
I’m back in the studio on Friday morning and will try it out, thank you.
I’m thinking the best way (now), is to set up how you described, record on SD3, bounce the tracks and add them back to the pro tools session.
I’d like to be able to record drums/bass or guitar at the same time on pro tools so my reasoning to record direct to pro tools but I’m thinking this can be done at the same time anyway.
Thank you very much – now I just have to try and figure out how to apply your method.
I usually just bounce all the files, and then add to Protools by adding the various tracks.
When I do a search:
My percussion section is not highlighted and I need it as well, SD3.
Im right clicking “other instruments” (toms that I’m not using), and it’s not highlighted so there is no cowbell
Any help would be appreciated.

We got it, appreciate all your help man, much appreciated!! And look me up on FB, Ronnie Robson *Ronniedawg*
Hey gseshleman, we are onto something.
When I deleted the original layout in my timeline, and dropped in what I had saved in the song structure file, it did the same thing as in the PT timeline (dropped drums, cymbals in the chorus onlu). I deleted what I had saved in the song structure (cos its not right), and replayed what I had in my EZD2 timeline – everything is there.
How would you save this? Perhaps I should be reading a bit more……..
