    Hi Dave,
After searching my program files I found the 64 bit version of EZ Drummer and added this version to the VST plug-ins per the “help” file.  All works great now.  It’s amazing what you can find in the on-line help file!

    Thanks,
    Mike

    Hi Dave,
I went to the preferences page–file–VST Settings–then selected “Add”  then selected the EZ Drummer file from my download page.  Nothing happened.  Could you tell me how to add a path to the 64 bit version? I’m not much of a computer techie so a simple explanation would be greatly appreciated :-).
    Thanks,
    Mike

Most times this issue is solved by going to the Preferences pages and adding a path to the 64 bit version in the VST scanner.

Adding a path to the VST Scanner in X1’s Preferences should be documented in the SONAR Help files or the PDF manual. Check that out and see if you can understand it. If you have questions, I’ll help you out. There should be no need for me to retype the procedure.

    Hi John,
I just now downloaded 1.3.0, both 32 and 64 bit versions.   Dave also suggested  pointing X1 to the location of the 64-bit dll and I asked him to explain this to a dumb–non-computer guy.  Of course, if you’ve got a simple way of explaining this I’d sure appreciate it.

    Thanks!
    Mike

    Hi,

have you downloaded the 1.3.0 EZdrummer update and run both the 32-bit and 64-bit installers?
Have you pointed X1 to the location of the 64-bit dll?
Do not uninstall/delete the 32-bit version.

    Hi John,
I was told the tutorials had some good info–guess that was incorrect .  I took your advice and went to the Host Stuff area and attempted to download a drum map.  I got the following message:  “Adobe Reader can’t open EZ Drummer Nashville.kit.map because it is either not supported or because the file has been damaged”.  I got the same message for every drum map I tried to download.  Have you ever run into this issue?
    Thanks,
    Mike
