Think that there may be two things going  here.

In Logic you have a variable tempo map. I Prefer these tempo maps as well, but I’m not sure if Tracker syncs to the same tempo changes.

In Logic’s preferences may be you could change the starting bar number.

    Hi Jord,

Thank you for your contributions. Although, I find it difficult to process replies that are quite short and somewhat abrupt.

May be something more affable, such as…

Under the Step Editor you can add drum names and articulations for each lane. Select the lane, then rename it in the Inspector window – Lane.

Life is too short for keyboard arguments.

You’re better off using the Step Editor and entering the drum names there. The Step Editor is far more advantageous for drum editing than the piano roll.

The step editor is something that I also use regularly. However, the topic of the thread is the piano roll.

Although, if you are feeling helpful, may be you could describe how someone could add drum names to the lanes in the step editor.

One option is to use Tracker on SD3.

Record audio of you finger tapping/playing on your table top or chair or whatever surface comes to hand.

Load the audio up into tracker – audio to midi then select which instrument you want to replace your finger taps with.

It is better than playing with a pad as there is less latency and you can really get into the groove of a song.

When finger tapping the audio you just have to use your imagination, a bit like playing air guitar.

    Kind regards

    I had something similar.

I found that setting SD3 to run off 1 Core to be the most efficient. I realised that will help from the forum though.

    May be that will help.

Ok! So I have finally found the pictures of the kits in a rather obvious place. With the samples of course.

It is just extra eye candy but I like to put each picture on the corresponding track.

    Hi,

Yeah I was thinking of looking in the library to find the SD3 drum kit graphics to import into Logic’s custom icons.

I looked through the applications content but couldn’t find anything.

I don’t want to pry too much as I feel I would be betraying the developers at Toontrack.

    Regards

    Rodney
