    This is for FLSTUDIO PEEPS…

I am using AftertouchCC1 in Browse Parameters (from the plugin itself)

The arrow at the top left in the EZD3 plugin window, click that and go to browse parameters.

Scroll that list down, its the plug in browser, so if its hidden, unhide it. Swipe left side of screen if hidden still.

Scroll down to the ones at the bottom that say aftertouch… R click and chooose assign to controller and then hit your cymbal.

    This is what i did..

For Hi hats, its above this area, same location, FOOT CONTROLLER… CC1 or 4 etc…

The hats for me, after this and redoing rolands hats procedure on the module… money….. all set… (99% at least) for what ive been dealing with

a long time, the hats are very nice now.

Choke, I dunno yet, I think its different controller in that list/same area though ive not tested.

    This is for hi hat…

EZdrummer vst plugin while in flstudio, top left arrow thing, near the gear. Click and choose browse parameters.

This opens the midi sends in the plugins window thingy on the left that i usually keep closed, lol.

Scroll down to CC4, r clk and link controller, step on hi hat…
should be done… (it helped me a lot. now to adjust it more in not so easy drummer 3).

    viewtopic.php?t=268536

This was after doing this though, i am not sure if this matters, but im sharing it.

the one with the link CC to generic controller and put on mini channel 10, i did this also.

As for cymbal chokes, im still trying

    Thanks man, I will…

Next problem is that i have two modules, roland kv17 x2.

I tried putting the e drum midi thing to (roland) it does not help though, just using the toontrack standard.

So my cymbals only crash, no choke is working on all cymbals… and adjusting the hi hat at all for any reason, nothing happens when i adjust it in the program (foot tap settings for pedal) etc.

The slider sensitivity seems to not work for me, on a few modes. Wish it did, the cymbals are tough to make sound real as it is, haha.

But cymbals dont work right, hi hats do not also.

I guess i could ask others with only one module, do the cymbal chokes/i called it cups. Do the cymbal chokes work and the hi hats sizzle or nay?

So if you have 5 projects and 5 kits, you want to save as default?

How does this work for 5 kits though? I switch kits per song sometimes.

Ive saved this way, but only load from where i mentioned because thats the user presets area..

But yea, ive saved projects like you mention, its a default project, not really kit, right? Is this what i am reading?

So on the right top area, the kit name like gospel or studio basic is there, and then next to it is the name of the preset on that kit in this project. I use that

drop down menu to save the preset of the kit i have made.

Then you say, i should set as default (like maybe the 1 kit thats on the most songs?) yea?

Then what, when we need to switch, i use that preset window on the right to load them.

Then they seem to forget some, of what ive done, but not all, thats the strange part, then there is one tom

so far, no matter what, its been like 60 times now, it just resets and gets loud if i save or not, seems like a few of these triggers do that.

Top center i see mixer and grid editor, not sure what you mean here, but under settings on the very left… is the edrum did menu.

I do save from user presets area, like the name of the drum kit there is a drop down window there. (studio basic kit) Top right.

Click this and then save user preset is in there, almost never actually records the save.

So i save a project and other stuff, still doesnt seem to save my volumes per kit or per tom once the program (FL studio) reboots.

Seems like most of the time, most of my work is lost to where i just give up.

There seems to be no real help on this site or anywhere, its just software thats like a bucket with a small hole in it. Slowly its not really a bucket, it just looks like one.

Same thing happens to me, saving it as mentioned above, it tends to work about 50% of the time.

Cymbal problems, hi hat problems, im about to just uninstall it and forget about it. Its great software, but its not anywhere near Awesome.

I cant get volumes to save on toms, i cant get most things to save at all, but then sometimes it does, doing it the same way as mentioned above, however, default kit? No idea

    what that is..

Ive remapped volumes and mixer like 5 times on all my kits, save, save a project, save at that other save area, i mean there is so many save areas….

But i do them all and the next day….. one kits screaming loud, the next is queit, though i spent hours on this, it just keeps happening. (fail ware).

Not impressed as i once was like this new customer, after a few months, with little to no support at all on any questions being answered here, its about useless because there is little to no manual either.

I have dual td-17, biggest problems, i cant set the hi hat to work right (no sizzle, its just up or down, and when down sometimes it triggers the open sound like said above).

I cant seem to get the cymbal cup (grab cymbal and stop it ringing) to work.

I am using toontrack standard as they td17 settings didnt help at all.

I will try as mentioned, but if there is other help, please advise..

I must agree that sometimes it seems like the program forgets the saved set ups. I swear ive saved and come back the next day, drum triggers overlapping, like, 3rd tom and 5th tom, hitting the same drum yet was totally working right and saved it… the next day, nope.

Saving the user preset, and a project seem different, but like with much software, no instructions or not much instruction.

Really is dumb of software people to leave it to a forum to find answers. Although they do support the product well if you email them, some people answer

with one or two word replies or in a way that doesnt help.

Ive had it a month or so, still cant set my hi hats to work right, like, the pressure on my foot pedal to affect the hi hats, not working still..

There is a spot in the settings to tell it with drum set you have.

Go to settings, then E drum midi in at the bottom. Then select the toontrack standard (now in the middle of the screen) and select your kit if its there.

If its not… uggg. If it is, maybe try setting up a new preset based on this… (yea, its gonna erase all your other settings) wonderful huh?

Roland Rubix 22, dunno about that, but…. roland makes nice stuff. Next thing maybe is processor speed and ram.

See if updated drivers available for that card, system requirements for that card….

Then what DAW? Are you selecting its ASIO drivers or other driver? I have like 5 options with my Daw.

So maybe the ASIO driver could be changed.

Thats what I know, maybe others to answer soon.

I run an 8 core laptop with 16 ram… no issues there.

Ahh an onboard soundcard? Thats probably the issue.

Have you recorded before this at all? wav files or anything with your kit?

Mine was doing it with sampletank stuff as well, which, imo is terrible software, so it was either the hub i was using or that software.

Minimize all extra loaded plugins maybe, not sure what your doing, if your just playing drums only, etc…

Playback of multiple midi files and drumming over it? etc?

    Tell us more specifics.

I am new to midi as well, so, ive just started working out the issues also.

My stuff would get static from bad latency or something at first. Im pretty sure it was the hub and sampletank software. I bought EZD3 and it was all gone instantly. I did all of this the same day, so its possible software thinking too much or a usb hub not being high quality. (at least this is what solved my static).

are you using a USB hub of any type? I had one that was just not very good, new, known brand name was the cure. As well as a very good sound card.

So i changed that setting and well, the hi hat actually worked worse, I must just need to learn more about it.

Then as well, alot of my settings where wrecked and even when going back to toontrack standard, most of the midi triggers (notes triggered) had to all be reset.

I dont have the time to redo it all today, but so far, arg….. it just made things worse for me, but im new to this. I have some recording to do, so i fix it back the way it was for now.

The slider thing for setting sensitivity did not seem to do anything for the hats then, they would only play opened. Foot pedal would make a closed click, but any thing else, all open hi hat sound… Love the midi, but its taking some learning.

Not sure what to do now. Changing to the midi td17 didnt seem to help the hi hat at all.

I assume i will need to do what was suggested and re route all my note (pad triggers) again.. some stayed, some didnt.

Not sure im using two td17 modules right, or if chaining them together is better. (so like, the snare on both modules does not hit the same midi key note) hence i have two of the same modules, at first, they both triggered the same drums until i worked it all out with the dial/midi note set up. How fun.

Ahhhhhhhhhh, thanks…. I bet this is why, I  thought i seen that before on youtube and forgot…. Thank you both much, I will test that today…. I love this set up, but its been a bit of fun getting it all worked out (when running the same two modules) it was a task.

Td-17 btw…. I wonder if its possible to chain two td-17 together and make the set up easier? I am running two usb chords into my pc…

I finally got all the triggers on their own channels/instruments (assigned drums)

There was a bit of over lapping until i figured out how to assign them better.
