Here’s second attempt for anyone interested, reworked a bunch of it….slowed the tempo, raised the key, added a B-section and some guitar/percussion loops to make it less repetitive.

No, thanks for the reply Scott…I appreciate it!! Gonna revisit it later tonight and will definitely work on the snare sound a little more. I used a low-cut filter on the whole drum mix and pulled down 500Hz about 6dB so maybe (in attempt to clear thing up) I went a bit too far.
