License transfer fees countervalue is $ 2,250.00
Thanks Joe I wasn’t aware of that. What do you mean by “License transfer fees countervalue is $ 2,250.00” ?
C’MON Toontrack, PLEASE Bring It ON! and like the others said.., I don’t want to be dying of old age waiting?
For all intents and purposes EZKeys has been abandoned by Toontrack. Stop dwelling on an otherwise antiquated piece of software and move on.
SD3 and EZBass are far more than just an updated GUI. While they have the latest and constantly updated technology EZKeys was abandoned years ago and remains stuck in 2012.
There’s no Tap To Find, Conversion From Audio, Grid/Midi Editor, Song Creator, Edit Play Style, Music Notation Editor, Scale/Modes feature. I wouldn’t be all that concerned with what the GUI looks like, when there isn’t all that much under the hood to begin with. The only ‘updates’ you’ll get are additional static midi file packs to bolster their sales. And amazingly EZKeys is the same price as EZD2 and EZBass.
Also how about a few classic 70’s and 80’s synths instead of yet another piano or organ. EZD2 has 42 EZX expansion packs while EZKeys only has 13 instruments and 56 midi packs to EZD2’s 89 midi packs.
TT makes excellent products, but I believe they definitely dropped the ball with EZKeys.

Thanked by: donskillsSadly I’ve given up on EZKeys a long time ago. No point in investing money in a product that the company themselves won’t invest in.
Really a shame though, it could have been an excellent product had they invested the time and resources into it. Though lesson learned, I’ll be weary about any other new products they introduce until I see solid proof they are committed to the product and won’t abandon it as they did with EZKeys.
TT is really a great company, however I find this very disrespectful to the users who invested both large amounts of time and money into a product they have walked away from and won’t even admit it. Yet amazingly they are still releasing midi packs.

Thanked by: Reginald K.Son and jazzmandanThanks for the reply Oneway.
I wasn’t sure if turning down the fx knobs actually completely disables them ? Is this the case ?
What I’ve been doing is, in EZX AltRock for example the ‘original mix’ preset appears to have no fx attached to it. I would use that as a starting point and add my chosen drums there. I don’t have all the EZX’s but I’d guess that others may have a similar ‘original mix’ preset with no fx attached. Though it would be much more user friendly if TT would either add a way to disable fx on all their presets or at least add one preset to all EZXs that has no fx chain to use as a starting point.
As far as the video I didn’t catch where he actually disabled or bypassed the fx chain. He seemed to just break the tracks down to separate tracks in his daw. Did I miss that ?
Thanks…
TT please consider giving us the option in EZD2 to disable the associated FX chains. Allowing us to individually process the drums.
Yes of course, my apologies.
When I start up EZD2 the ‘Library’ column under the Search tab is not selected. For it to show I have to right click and select it.
Is there a way I could save this to have it always show on startup, instead of having to continually select and reposition it.
Ideally I’d like to save both the columns I’ve chosen as well as their positions on the header.
Thank you…
This thread is four years old this month and still no major updates. Very disappointing.

Thanked by: Reginald K.SonI would have to agree, I also find the Tap2Find feature rather hard to work with.
Please do consider adding a simple grid, as that would be more accurate and easier to use.

Thanked by: Henrik EkblomI have to agree, sadly I’m very turned off to Toontrack as a company.
I purchased EZKeys along with some additions and now feel that after they got my money they abandoned the product. This does not instill confidence in my purchasing any further products. I was frankly very enthusiastic about this product but feel now I will have to look elsewhere.
That said, EZKeys was an incredible tool with much potential, but I feel that momentum is lost. I will now wait and see where their products go first before and if investing any further monies.
Is there any way to dampen drums in EZ drummer...Is there any way to dampen drums in EZ drummer 2?

EZD tends to be more ‘ringy’ than others. Though I too would welcome more dampened kits. Hopefully TT will consider this.
I’d like to see TT add a Dampened Preset of each kit along with a Dry Preset allowing the user to process them to their liking.
That said, there is the ‘Tea Toweled’ UK Kit and the Alt Rock has a dampened Ludwig snare.
Actually it would be great if TT offered demo versions of their EZX Expansions as they do with EZKeys Sound Expansions, so as the users could hear the kits in the context of their music.

Thanked by: Erik Martines SanchesThe most raw, non effected preset in EZD2 is the Original Mix preset. Select that one of you want to multi out to your DAW and mix there.
Thank you Scott.
Presumably from here one can then swap drums from their other EZXs to create a custom kit as they so wish ?
Yes
Thank you again Scott.
I found the Preset I referenced earlier, it is part of the UK Pop EZX titled “No Buss FX (For Multi-Out)”. It would be a nice addition if TT considered adding this type of Preset to all EZX Expansions.
UK Pop btw is definitely on my must have list !

Do you mean the effect channels in the mixer? If so, they can be muted if you want.
Not necessarily the mixer , but the fx themselves. I’d like to multi out the drum samples on individual tracks in my DAW and add my own eq, compression, ect.
I believe there may be an EZX or two that has just the raw drum samples available as one of the presets. Though I’ll have to check again.
As I said the fx are very well done, however they don’t always suit the song. Therefore having just the raw samples sans fx would give us the opportunity to add our own fx. If this isn’t available, could you please consider adding this as a new feature.
Thank you…
