Thank you so much, Scott. Everything is up and running. Asio4All is selected as the interface in SOLO and in Reaper. The key is to select the native sound card as the default in windows for recording and playback. You can select asio4all as default in reaper and solo. Then, select the mtrack as default in asio4all. Also turning off the local triggering in the drum brain made a huge difference. Thank you again. If you can mark this thread “SOLVED”, it might be of help to others later rich

I originally had M-Track selected. But it seems that it was running thru the laptop sound card. When I selected asio4all, it wasn’t getting sound. I’ve since brought the laptop back to my office and played with the setting. It seems that if you have M track set as the default audio device in windows, it does NOT get set as the default device in asio4all. I’ve got it working with the mouse in solo with asio. So hopefully when I get back to the studio, it will work with the dtxpress. I will also check to make sure that the local sounds are turned off on the drum module. I’ll let you know how it goes. Thank you again so much rich

Hi Scott… The checkbox surely was the culprit… 🙂 Got the dtxpress triggering pretty well. Played with a few of the note assignments and will play with the sensitivity. HOWEVER… I am experiencing quite a bit of latency. I ran the buffer down to 64 and still I have like a 1/16th note delay. I run asioforall in reaper and it is fine. But I can’t find any way to correct it in solo. ANy ideas on that? Thanks rich

Cool… I clicked and double clicked and right clicked when I was setting it up earlier. Guess that I didn’t see the checkbox. I’ll let you know how I make out in the AM. Thanks again rich

I believe that it was selected. It was highlighted but not sure about the check…How do you make the check mark? I’m hoping that this is the solution and it was just my stupidity… as I was able to get it to record midi data. But the mapping is off when ezdrummer is loaded as a plugin. It will be much easier to remap note values from the dtxpress brain if I can do it “live” thru solo. Thank you. rich
