I’ve got a similar problem. My SSD drive isn’t showing up on my MacBook Pro (2019, Catalina).
When I first got the drive it worked fine. Then I realised Catalina doesn’t support Pro Tools properly (!) so I’m moving to Logic. I fired up some pro tools sessions on my partner’s windows laptop to render some files out of them to start new sessions in Logic and the drive worked fine there too. Then when I put it back into the MacBook it worked fine initially but started ejecting by itself and crashing sessions. It did that a couple of times and now it doesn’t show up at all when you plug it in.
It shows up in the Mac disk Utility as an external drive – ‘disk2s2’ but not mounted/ And when I try to mount it this error comes up –
Could not mount “disk2s2”. (com.apple.DiskManagement.disenter error -119930868.)
