ok great. I take it then that during the installation process you can specify where you want the sound libraries installed initially?

Hi, yes in theory I could install everything to the external drive.

Just to be clear – are you saying EVERYTHING to be installed to the external drive including the basic program files itself? Sorry if this is a dumb question but usually I would have all software like this on the HD and within Application folders so that it’s all kept backed up on time machine and operates as quickly and smoothly as possible.
