OK, that’s useful, David. I’ve been thinking of velocity as being the same thing as volume, and I suppose it’s not. I’ll have a play with that.

I find that, generally, the hi-hat and ride cymbal are really nice as they are. It’s the snare and kick that I need to tone down. The kick makes me think I’ve invited an elephant into the room.
