The latest EZ Drummer version is 3.1.2. Try updating first but as suggested above we need to see what you are doing wrong.  Is EZ drummer set to follow the host DAW?  If yes it should play along with your Daw’s tempo.  Does that work correctly?  Check this first.  Next explain how you are physically moving the midi from the plugin to your Daw.  I just higlight the entire midi track in EZdrummer and drag it into my Daw on my second monitor. Never a problem.

This may not help but I thought it might be worth mentioning.

I notice you are using EZ Drummer 3.1.1. They are now on version 3.1.2  I have gotten into the habit of checking all music related software every day for updates before I start anything. (IE)-All plugins and my Daw

I came across a similar issue two days ago. However, I was just recording a lead vocal track and discovered I was hearing the music at a lower volume on the same track. Never happened before. I ended up re-recording the vocal track and it was fine. You might try recording the drum track and the guitar track separately. What Daw are you using. I have Reaper.

What happened was I had EZ keys in follow Daw mode and forgot to turn it off.

I just googled it and it came up under an AI overview. So much for artificial intelligence,

I figured it out yesterday. When clicking on the key signature editor an (add key change) option popped up on the righthand side just above the song track.  I never noticed that before.  I then moved the curser to the measure where I wanted to make the key change and changed the key at that point. Much easier than having to select the point in the grid and then selecting every midi note going forward to make the change.

I usually highlight the star by selecting it in order to find it again The best way would probably be to create a user midi file for the song and add it to the file. Then all you need to do is select the user midi file and all grooves for the song would be there. I believe you can even rename the file with the song title.

Reaper is not following EZ Drummer. EZ Drummer is following Reaper. If you want to move the play head on both at the same time you have to move it from Reaper.

Thanks, I was trying to do that after I had dragged the groove into the song track.

Just did.  Tried all three options. Is there a way to turn sustain off for a specific groove? Forgot to mention it plays correctly when I audition it  but not when I drag it to the song track

Unfortunately I can’t help you but I wanted you to know that I have been using EZ Drummer 3 with Reaper since it came out and have no issues.

I suggest contacting support.  Have you tried uninstalling and re-installing Reaper. Is Reaper software up to date?

Are you using 32 bit or 64 bit for EZ Drummer?

It is listed in the midi pack as a kit.  I selected it and discovered it doesn’t work. I will purchase an EXP pack. Thank you

I use Reaper but there should be something in the audio settings of the Daw you use. Something like “Close audio device when stopped and application is inactive”.

Something along those lines. The box is usually checked by default. Uncheck the box. Keep in mind it may be worded differently.

You will probably find it under Preferences-Audio. At least that’s how it is in Reaper

Open the Toontrack product manager and it will show you what needs to be updated.
