SUCCESS!!!!! That did the trick. So if needed at a later date I should install the 32 bit program normally, Then manually delete all it’s .dll files and then run the 64 bit update. Thanks alot Scott, you’ve been great. Now I can get back to using my daw. Very happy now. ????
Cheers ?
Matt
Hi, I did what was asked and it’s still not working. I even uninstalled the 64 bit plug and tried just using the 32 bit update instead. The funny thing is, even though I deleted the.dll of the program, the 64 bit update still shows as a 32 bit plug when that replaces it.
OK, cheers for the help so far Scott, you’ve been awesome. Hopefully i’ll get it working soon hey.
Yep. I’ve installed it correctly and scanned and reinstalled a few times thinking that I might have missed something, but the plug is not working. Like I said I’ve also tried bridging the 32 bit plugin using jbridge, and it does install, but no sound samples load. All my other plugs work fine.
Hey Scott, I forgot to mention that I have jbridge to make my 32 bit plugins work on 64 bit and ive tried EZdrummer with it and it loads the GUI but there is no sound and its at 0 megabytes and seems to not load the samples.. So if you know how to solve it that way instead that would also be cool.
Well the update that I’ve installed is called EZ drummer update win 140 for 64 bit and it still doesn’t recognise it in ableton. I extracted the program and installed it, followed by said update to the paths shown in my screenshots.
Ah, I think Ive got it uploaded with 2 PNG documents, but you might have to click on them and zoom a bit to see them. Hope thats OK.
Cheers again

Hi Scott, thanks for your help. Unfortunately, ive been trying to upload a word doc or a pdf of the screenshots, but it wont let me do it.
Daw is Ableton Live 8, OS is windows 10 64 bit.
I installed the suggested version of EZ drummer that I downloaded from my user area to the default path in windows, and pointed the vst to my plugins folder. I then downloaded the 64 bit update and installed that to the default path in windows and pointed the vst to the same plugins folder. Windows shows the plugin in my normal folder, but on loading the DAW it isn’t shown. If any more info is needed, I can delete all EZ drummer installations and install again. I can then post screenshots of the locations of the installation etc.
Thanks in advance
Matt
Sorry, that should be – “It shows in my plugins folder but when I load the DAW its not showing. Any help would be appreciated”.
