I really have no use for the core library, much prefer the couple of SDX expansions I use. No reason to keep all that stuff installed for years now.  I also prefer to keep sound files available natively for when I travel with my laptop and for speed of access for the system, runs like a champ. Thanks, how can I just disable the feature? I always use SD3’s workflow, never Logic’s piano roll etc. And this is the only MIDI I use, so I’m not very well versed in it within Logic.

Thanks, I mainly just want to get rid of all the core kits and anything else I’m not using. Obviously anything that affects the sound quality of the expansions I’d want to keep.

That was it. I was able to open from finder, where the sound installer file was. The issue was I needed to download and/or update Rosetta, then everything worked perfectly. Thanks for the help!

If you click, it says “installer launched” but then nothing happens. The installer worked on the base file of Superior Drummer 3 and the MIDI packs. It doesn’t say where it installed to, but there an icon I can open the app with, but a window opens and says there’s no sound library.

I don’t see an option to open Install Log from the File menu of the Product Manager.

Looks like the midi files are installed, just not the sound libraries.

I tried installing SD3 before I installed Logic, would that have caused this issue?

It looks like it could be an issue with the software not having a path for the sound libraries, though I don’t know why it would do that.
