Yes, I ended up creating a midi track with just a couple of random notes on it that I exported from the pro tools session as a tempo map.  It turned out the tempo change was in there but for whatever reason the drums were like a tiny bit out of sync after the change.  The tempo change happens in like an 8 measure section where there are no drums and then the drums come back in at the new faster tempo, so I just separated the drum audio files in the middle where there was no drums playing and nudged the back half a little bit and got them to sync up.  Now it sounds fine, I’m wondering if maybe there was like a measure or two difference between where the change happens in the pro tools session and where it was happening in the midi tempo map.  Like I drag back the start of my sessions to -1 measures so I can have a two bar count off so I wonder if the tempo change was just happening two bars off and that threw off the drums by a split second for the rest of the file.
