Hi Mark! We have been trying to reproduce the issue on Windows 11 and the latest Pro Tools version 2023.6.0. So far we haven’t been able to get the UI to behave as you describe.

Have you updated your graphics card drivers to the latest version?

We were not able to find any bug report for this issue so we forwarded a new ticket to our development team for this so that they may investigate.

We did find a possible workaround that may be of use. Pick the default hi-hat openness preset in the E-Drums settings and the issue seems to go away.

Hi, it works for me to select text/copy and paste test from the PDF. Would copying and pasting the text from the manual into a text file or other document handler work as a workaround in this case?

The option “Select Containing Folder in Grooves” is greyed out.

Hey, I have notified our programmers about this. They will investigate further and hopefully fix this in a future update.

    Hi,

We’ve replied to your support ticket now, and we found that clicking on the Rimshot Stack label produces a 127 velocity hit, but when you click on a drum graphic of one of the snares that are part of the stack, a 126 velocity hit is triggered.

We have forwarded this to our development team to investigate if this is intended behaviour of the drum pads in the Drums tab.

A programmer has confirmed that this is an error in the Dry Yamaha Rock preset that was most likely caused by an old bug back when the preset was being created. The error can be fixed in your own projects by just touching the send fader as I described earlier, then saving the project.

A fix to the preset would need to be released in an update to the Superior Drummer 3 core library for the preset to load correctly.

I’m not sure, but this may be a bug. Our programmers will have to look closer at this. If I max out the send signal from that Snare bus to the Comp bus, and then back down again to -4.0db in the “Dry Yamaha Rock” preset, it doesn’t sound identical to the original preset and that seems wrong. Either that is not how it’s supposed to sound after just touching the send, or the Dry Yamaha Rock preset is not working correctly causing the snare to be slightly shifted to one side.

I’ll create a ticket for this so that this may be investigated.

    Thanks for reporting this!

Ah, I can see what has happened now and I know how to reproduce it. In this case, you had loaded that groove and then trimmed it from the left, making it half the length. Opening hit was activated by default and that opening hit was moved to the start of the “new” shorter groove, but something is wrong with that opening note that was moved.

That is very strange indeed! I have created a bug ticket for this issue.
