But EZD already communicates with the host (Sync to Host) to get the tempo.

As I wrote earlier in this thread, Tempo is communicated to the plugin from the host, Time signature (and changes) are not. If you know of a plugin that can change Time signature accordingly to the host’s Timeline, it would be very interesting to take a look at.

BFD3 detects time signature changes without a problem, but it doesn’t (yet) represent them graphically. Apparently this is on their FR list : http://www.fxpansion.com/forum/viewtopic.php?p=93487

AFAIK Sibelius or Finale are programs and not plugins. I would think that it would be more difficult to have a plugin communicate with the host than have the feature in a standalone program. I’m not a programmer so I don’t know. Just a thought.

    +1
I’ve just come across this problem and it means you can’t use the song track when there’s signature changes in your host.
It’s essential that Follow Host should also follow signature changes. Is this being considered for implementation please?

Yes, I would think an option ‘create alias’ along with the normal copy, paste, etc. options would suffice. An alias could then perhaps be coloured in a slightly lighter shade to distinguish it from real copies. Also, an option to ‘make real’ an alias would be needed.

Regarding renaming parts, I still think this would be a useful addition. If I’ve got 4 parts in a verse, all slightly different and all with the same power hand, they all look the same in the song track. Even if they could be renamed Hi Hat A, Hi Hat B, etc., I think that would be good.

Thank you very much for the response. I think the ‘alias’ idea would be a great new feature and hopefully, some other users will agree!
