Not sure why we can’t just drag audio in the DAW to EZ bass.
You can. But I believe you have to save the audio first?
Pete
Scott,
Did what you asked and indeed there were 2 copies which I deleted and reinstalled the update.
Was then asked to delete the old version which I did through control panel.
Downloaded the update (2 gig )and installed that . EZ Bass standalone now shows (v1.06.)
It then showed there was an update:
Clicking the install button it goes through the update routine but does not update.
It seems stuck!
It now works (v1.06)in Bandlab although I still need to try audio sender and see if there are any problems with that.
Edit: This is what it shows in the standalone help about EZ Bass
EZbass plug-in version 1s.0.6 (build 25742) [64-bit VST]
Standalone host version 1.0.7 (build 26474)
SOUND LIBRARIES
EZbass Modern version 1.0.6
EZbass Vintage version 1.0.6
MIDI LIBRARIES
EZbass version 1.0.6
This is what it shows in Product manager:
Hi Scott,
Here’s a screenshot from my standalone.
I have not moved the .dll. Always left it at default download location.
I don’t know if the problem maybe the last update of product manager or Ez Bass?
Pete
Same with me. It has become unusable in Bandlab Cakewalk (current version).
In Toontrack prod manager it says it’s up to date as with all other products.
However, if I go to my account I see the products I have there are anomalies like products
need to be ‘mark as installed’ and ‘authorize’.
It works fine in standalone.
Hi Pipedreams,
To bring up the chord wheel, double click on one of the chord blocks.

Hi igor,
I’m assuming you are running EZ Bass as a vst within Reason?
If so, have you got ‘Follow host’ highlighted?
Hi kinleym13,
I think you would be better taking this to the Mixcraft forum and asking there.
Pete
>So I guess it’s time for a new DAW for me besides Sonar 7.<
You could try Cakewalk by Bandlab. It’s free.

Still using SONAR? Time to upgrade Cakewalk by BandLab!
SONAR is now Cakewalk by BandLab. With countless improvements, plus major stability and performance enhancements, Cakewalk by BandLab is the DAW you know and love, only better!
And did we mention it’s FREE?

Hi Nic,
I have just had a go in EZ Bass standalone and this is what i get.
pic03 is the audio is sent to the song track
6: After recording, (stopping play) I get (pic 05) and I select guitar audio to bass midi.
7. Finally, (pic 06) with the midi.
Remember I am playing live with my guitar and I don’t arm the track in my DAW for recording, I press play in my DAW and EZBass records
the input from that track.
Pete
Hi Sylvia,
This is what I do with recording a bass line with my guitar to send to EZBass.
1: Create an Audio track in the DAW. Let’s call it Gtr to EzBass. Get a good input level.
2: I start EZ Bass in my DAW.
3: I insert the Audio tracker on the track Gtr to EzBass. In the audio tracker you can also change the default from input audio 1 to the name of the track. Using my example above, Gtr to EZBass. (Pic01)
4: Select audio tracker in EZ Bass and then select Record audio from Daw. If you have changed the input name on the audio tracker you will see that name in the input box at the bottom. (pic02 and pic03)
5: I then press PLAY in the DAW as instructed by EZBass, play my guitar and EZ Bass starts recording. (Pic04)
Continued.
Hi Sylvia,
Like I said, it works fine for me. I have no problem with it at all even when playing a bass line on my guitar.
Pete
“It always says “Audio Input 1””
That’s what I get in Bandlab and it works fine. I don’t know Cubase.
