Thanks for getting back John.
I will need to approach this systematically.. the problem has occurred in both Cubase Pro and Luna.
I’ve never had any such issues before this regarding authorizations only began after loading up Ezbass demo version initially as I liked what I heard I purchased it straight away hoping the problem would disappear.
I will try your suggestions to troubleshoot and track down where it goes amuck.
I’m running ezmix, ezkeys, SSD3 a d ezdrums without any such issues.
Cheers
Peter

Thanked by: JohnDoes the tracker conversion to midi need to align with bars or can it convert a live bass line?
Thanks folks, all sorted now…I’m sure Jord was correct in saying that using Cubase until now there was no need to have SD3 run as AU only as VST.
An SD3 update was available (which didn’t seem to be an option a few days earlier) which did the trick…SD3 now appears in my Components list and shows up in Luna, my problem is solved!
Thanks all..

Thanked by: JohnJohn, I have now worked through UA’s process of deleting Luna preference files but still no joy.
SD3 still does not appear in my Components list which I’m positive is the problem!
Any suggestions on how to get that happening?
I looked to re-install SD3 but Toontrack Project Manager tells me it’s installed already.. I’m afraid an un-install will cause issues for me but may be my last option.
regards
Peter
I’ve now Figured out how to and have worked through the deletion of preference process as suggested by UA….still have not resolved the issue though.
SD3 still not appearing in my Components list and therefore not showing up as an instrument in Luna!
Question: When told to ‘Relaunch Luna’ which is UA’s final instruction, does that mean restart or re-install Luna?
After carrying out UA’s instructions I simply did a restart on my computer and opened Luna, have I missed something?
Hint: In my list of plugins only SD3 and Sonarworks Reference 4, which is the other plugin I’m seriously missing in Luna are shown separately as .vst ….that is they are both listed outside of the – Components, VST and VST 3 folders that contain numerous (far too many) other plugins.
i live in hope that I’ll soon get SD3 happening.
regards
Peter
Hi John, Yes I have and I’ve traced the problem I believe which is that SD3 does not appear in the ‘components’ folder.. but how to make that happen is a mystery to me.
I’ve not had any luck implementing the last option on their list re corrupt Luna preferences which may be the answer..
Peter
Hi Ben,
I read your info with delight hoping I’d finally gotten the answer to my problem with Luna and several missing VI’s and some other plugins such as Sonarworks.
Alas I am still stuck…DOH!
Firstly I am now completely committed to Luna due to the incredible analogue sound I can now get using the Neve Buss Summing and Studer A800 Tape on every channel…there is such an audible difference that I can’t go back to my old DAW Cubase Pro.
Secondly.. I use SD3 as my main drum VI having upgraded from EZY Drums (which along with EZY Keys do show as VI’s in Luna on the instrument list?) Having used SD3 I’m also committed to it as well.
I’m heartened that some have gotten SD3 to work in Luna so I know it can be done but I’m still not having any luck getting it to show up.
I must be missing something but when closely following your work around I still come up with the same results ie a list of available instruments to choose from which does not include SD3. This happens regardless of where I create the new instrument track from.
Selecting ‘new instrument’ from the menu at top of page opens up an instrument track with Shape; the default instrument.
When I remove this default inst to choose a different instrument I still only get to see the same list I always have seen .. still missing SD3. I live in hope that I can get to the bottom of this issue.
