Wow this is so annoying, I can’t believe this is how people use it, I must be missing something…

“Space” being play is second nature to me, and I can’t get used to “shift+space” being start and stop from within the grid editor. I keep hitting only space and then Logic starts playing from whichever random point the playhead was at, and the timeline shifts and argh ๐Ÿ™‚ ๐Ÿ™‚

And then when I kind of get used to shift+space, then when I exit SD3, I keep hitting the combo while in Logic. Is something wrong with me?? ๐Ÿ˜€ ๐Ÿ˜€

Having an option where both timelines and playheads are 100% synced would be awesome… For example as ReWire works with Logic and Reason…

The host is Logic, pressing play in Logic will make the transport in SD3 play if you have “Follow Host” engaged. (or at least it I believe is designed to work that way, that’s how I use it in Pro Tools and Studio One).
Loop in SD3 will loop through a selected range in the SD3 track, while Logic runs an entire track. (for example; you have you have selected a 4 bar range selected to loop in SD3. Your Logic track is 48 bars. Pressing “Play” in Logic will loop through the same 4 bars in the SD3 track while playing all 48 bars in Logic. (At least that’s howI use it in PT and S1).
Hope this helps clear things up.ย ย

Then I guess it is expected behavior, I just don’t see why that would be useful… I would expect that the timeline and playhead are always synced between SD3 and the host. But no big deal, I’ll get used to it – at least now I know nothing is broken ๐Ÿ™‚ Thanks!
