IF you check back previous posts in this thread you’ll see that this is a problem with EZD3. You can in fact open a project file from Reaper or other DAW’s between windows & macos as long as the vst3 of the said plugin is installed on both systems. For instance my cubase projects with Kontakt & other vst3 plugins do open as expected on my PC & macbook. This wouldn’t be the case if your running Reaper on both windows & mac but only have the AU versions of the plugins installed on your mac & none of the vst3 versions.

For some reason toontrack have decided not to make EZD3 & some other of their plugins cross platform like a lot of other plugins are as mentioned here:

Unfortunately, we would not be able to fix this without breaking all user projects on one of the platforms. 🙁

“Only” EZD3 and EZbass have this issue, not SD3 and Audio Sender.

We are considering an opt-in solution for this issue for a future update of EZD3 (and EZbass).

This is a pretty big issue especially for collaboration between users who won’t all be using PC or Mac. I use a macbook for on the move & a self built PC to do the heavy lifting & often move projects between them.

There’s definitely no fix in the horizon? I’ve that’s the case I may as much as I love EZD3, have to switch to another drum plugin. I have IK Modo drums but I do much prefer using EZD3.

    All is sorted.

It was actually a lot easier than I thought it would be, you’d think I never installed plugins before
Its just that some of the wording in the READ ME put me of a bit until I read it more carefully that is.

Oh & BTW EZdrummer is so EZ to work with & sounds really great, I’ll definitely be getting EZX packs when I get a chance!!

    Thanks for your help Rogue

Sorry my bad, I guess I should have read it more carefully.

So can I choose a different folder for the 32-bit & 64-bit plugins? For example It would be  “Vst/64bit/Drums”for the 64bit version & “vst/Drums” for the 32bit version. I like to keep my x64 & x86 plugins separate.
