I could reproduce this bug, it seems that the “use browser midi” function stays on when creating new project (if the mode was active at the time of selecting new project).
Hitting the button while having the dragged midi still selected resets the state.
Thanks for making us aware of this and sorry for any inconvenience, this will be fixed for next version.
I can reproduce this, midi notes and also the “Real-Time Chord Display” are “hidden” when screen is set to 16 bit color depth.
