If you are running in a DAW, the tempo in EZD2 will be synced to your setting in the DAW.
In stand alone you can double click the “tempo” and write whatever you want.
EZD2 will round the values purely graphical, meaning if you write 123.5 it will print out 124, but it will play in 123.5 🙂
Hope it helps

Hi Patrik – I have tried to upload the files, but I keep getting told there is a file extension error for the Database file and the EZdrummer file. If there is a better way to get these to you please let me know and I will send you copies of them.
I will try your solution and let you know how I get on. Thanks very much for trying to get to the bottom of this.
Cheers
Rob
Thanks for your help!
By the way, do not upload the content of your MIDI folder, since it will be publicly available if you upload on this forum.
I just got the same data uploaded from another user with the same problem and from what I could gather it seems very unlikely that the issue lies inside the MIDI folder anyway so skip that one ![]()
Thanks again for wanting to help out!
Edit:
The bug is located and squashed to bits and will be implemented in a future patch.
For anyone else having similar issues, until the 2.1.2 is out, the fix is to manually remove the MidiDB file i mentioned 3 posts ago.
1) Close EZdrummer standalone and/or Reaper.
2) Remove the following files: MidiDB, MidiDB_fav, MidiDB-shm, MidiDB-wal (if they exist) from
“C:/Users/”CurrentUser”/AppData/Roaming/Toontrack/EZdrummer”
and
“C:/Users/”CurrentUser”/ AppData/Roaming/Toontrack/EZdrummer/OnlineMIDI”
3) Start EZdrummer

Hi there – I am having a similar problem with EZdrummer2 crashing in the standalone and in Reaper. I initially installed EZdrummer2 (2.0.2) on my new PC running windows 8 and them started installing the EZXs, but had a problem with DKFH installation as it appeared to stop responding every time I tried to install, so I tried uninstalling EZdrummer2 and installing EZ drummer 1 instead as I upgraded (although I’m sure this wouldn’t make a difference in installing the EZXs). I got all my EZXs to install properly and then reinstalled EZdrummer2. I then had a problem with EZdrummer2 telling me that this isn’t the latest version of EZdrummer on the system and it gave me the plug in path to the latest version(C:Program FilesCommon FilesVST3Toontrack). After closing this message EZdrummer2 did open, but some functions were not available such as Song Creator and the search tab. I checked the plug in path in the standalone EZD2 and it is the same as the path indicated by the message when I opened the program.
I thought that updating to EZdrummer 2.1.1 may sort this out so I installed the update, but then the standalone crashed every time I opened it and the plugin crashed reaper when I opened it there. It cited a Runtime error – that the program was asking to shut it down in an unusual way. I have attached the crash file.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Hi Robert and sorry for the late reply!
We have looked at your crash dump and located where the crash occurs, however we have not yet been able to track down what’s causing it.
It would be very helpful if you could help us out by uploading some data to us, which might help us finding this nasty issue.
What we need is.
1) The entire “Database” folder located at C:/ProgramData/Toontrack/EZdrummer
2) The entire MIDI folder located in your EZDrummer library install path.
3) The entire EZdrummer folder located in C:/Users/”CurrentUser”/ AppData/Roaming/Toontrack/
It could potentially be quite a number of files and a bit of data to upload though.
There is also a solution to this problem (hopefully), but we would really appreciate if you could help us out before trying to repair.
If you decide to skip straight to fixing the problem, you can try this:
1) Close EZdrummer standalone and/or Reaper.
2) Remove the following files: MidiDB, MidiDB_fav, MidiDB-shm, MidiDB-wal (if they exist) from
“C:/Users/”CurrentUser”/AppData/Roaming/Toontrack/EZdrummer”
and
“C:/Users/”CurrentUser”/ AppData/Roaming/Toontrack/EZdrummer/OnlineMIDI”
3) Start EZdrummer
Sorry for the inconvenience and hope it works out for you.
/ Patrik
