Additionally, I would encourage some mic’d electro/drum machine kits like BFD does which are very interesting.

What’s cool is we can stick a mic in front of our speaker and record these sounds and then drag them back into SD3…..

Oops, I just re-read your post….I misunderstood you at first…. Cool question. So you’re making your own sounds and want to file them together?

    Hi Olof,

Thx again for the info on the EZM comp pack, it helped a lot in many things…But as I go thru the EZM comp & saturation it has EIGHT presets with VOCAL in it’s description…It would be great to maybe go thru this pack and re-assess what COULD come up (not only those specific presets) if we choose vocal in the search box and then add them maybe?

    Thx again, Jeff (-:

If I’m understanding you right you say you are dragging all the midi parts into your daw and then when you want to find let’s say a prechorus or such for that part you do not know where it came from, yeah?

If that’s the case what I do is build it first in SD3 and then drag it in to my daw LEAVING the original still in SD3. Turn off the FOLLOW ALONG button and even right click and mute the original. That way you can go back to any part and reference what you need and quickly reference where it came from….

    Hi John,

Yes, and I was hoping to see only grid lines on every whole notes even if I zoomed in… Same if I chose any of the other selections….ie. only 1/8th notes as I zoomed in ect…..

I did find the triplets settings on a right click timeline bar from another post which was great!
    Hope I’m making some sense…

In REAPER Preferences > Audio > Playback, there are settings for “Reset MIDI CC/Pitch.” Perhaps you have “playback start” checked there?

    NICE Catch Olof!! Thx! Laugh

Ok I found that if I drag the MIDI BACK into SD3 and using it from there, then I am not still having this issue…?

Ok, what preset, and what instruments did you add? Need the information to try to recreate this scenario! 🙂

    Hi Henrik,

Ok so I tired to reproduce the anomaly in several different presets including a custom preset sooo for me AT WORST this is happening intermittently and I have found a workaround with the “show all channels mode”…Everything else is working fine for me as I can see…..If you guys hear of anything else about this plz lemme know but for now it’s back to work for me! Wink

Was the newly created channels hidden – so you had to click “Edit Visibility” to see them?
In that case it may be a bug, because newly created channels should be visible by default.

Or was the “User Mics” button disabled (so no added channels for instruments was shown) and you pressed that?

Yes I had to click the “Edit Visibility” to see them. I just added a kick drum also and a clap. I looked in the mixer and they were not there. I then checked to see that their mic routing was on for each instrument and then even selected create new channel. They still did not show up in the mixer until I chose edit visibility.

This was on an original SD3 PRESET also.

You know I was adding instruments again last night in A SAVED custom preset and I kept choosing to add a new instrument channel but it wouldn’t show up in the mixer… So I went back to a default preset and tried it the same way and it would show up in the mixer… And then I realized I had to hit hidden channels to see the channel and that was my original problem in the first place… Once I had hit hidden channels I could see the newly-created instrument channel in the mixer.
Anyway, hope this helps someone…. It was really getting me scratching my head again last night…. Lol

    Hi Steve,

Not sure if this will help but if you are in EDIT PLAY mode and look over to the right and see the magnifying glass with the + sign in it…directly above that there is 3 lines box with an arrow in it and if you press that and look in QUANTIZE menu there is a setting for 1/4, 1/8, & 16th triplets in there…
