Hello,

if i would like the closed high hat sound(s) to be louder than their default volumes how do i achieve this?(i’m using SD3 with an E-Kit in a Live situation)

I see the Articulations pull down list but seem to only be able to turn them on or off.

I’m a novice regarding midi, would this be more of a velocity issue? and if so please explain the process if possible.

Yeah, I knew what you mean….I tried to find out if they had a distressor sim for the longest time too…

If you scroll down more towards the bottom you’ll see all the settings name UK HEAD, that sounds like it might be it.

I have CLASSIC amps https://www.toontrack.com/product/classic-amps-ezmix-pack/

And if you scroll way down you’ll see a lot of JMP and UK AMPS that seem to be Marshall Sims

Also I believe you cañ hit the dble squares in the upper corner of the tab to have the grid tab floating and access any window you want (even via shortcuts). I don’t use it for recording with keys but use this feature for accessing and changing drums and other stuff… It should work…

I just noticed that when programming 2 shaker patterns using the Latin Percussion Kit (using small shaker 1 and large shaker 2), both come through channel 1 on the mixer, even though there is a dedicated channel for Shaker 1 and Shaker 2. Hey what if you assigned Shaker 2 to channel 2 will that work for you? Just hit the arrow next to the channel number and you can change it there.

Hi Ron,

While there is software out there that would allow you to do this the DAW REAPER can be a great start.

I’m pretty sure there is no option to be able to print notation after we completed a track in EZKEYS though…. The midi file would be needed to be dragged into the DAW.

THE COOL thing about REAPER is you can try it for free to see if it works for you.

14.9 Exporting MusicXML and PDF Files[edit]

It is currently not possible to print your musical notation score from within REAPER. However, you are able to export your score in MusicXML format, which can be read by Finale, Sibelius, MuseScore, Forte, Cubase and many other programs.

To export your score, follow this sequence:

Open the score in REAPER’s MIDI Editor and select musical notation view.From the menu, choose File, Notation: Export (PDF, MusicXML)Accept the default directory offered, or navigate to another of your choosing. Select file type (.xml or .pdf) and type a file name. Specify page width and, optionally, author.Select score-partwise or score-timewise (see note below).Click on Save.

The difference between partwise and timewise lies in the priorities that are applied in arranging part and measure elements. If a score contains more than one part elements, each of which contains one or more measure elements, then score-partwise organises the score with part elements at the top of the hierarchy. Score-timewise reverses this hierarchy. If you are unsure as to which to use, accept the default settling.

Note that REAPER’s MusicXML export and import supports multi-layer music.
