That’s not a bug. The multi-out routing template is no more than a
suggestion but it is a suggestion that always follows a certain way
of sending the same signals to the same outputs. Kick goes to
output 1, snare top goes to output 2, snare bottom to output 3,
hihat to output 4 and so on. If the preset has no Snare Bottom
channel then there is nothing routed to output 3.

>Will this fix also include the random mis-numbering of the Multi-Out option?
I am not aware of any such problems. Where and when does
what happen?

1. Correct, EZdrummer cannot use SDXs. But it can use their MIDI. We don’t
expect you to buy an SDX just to use the MIDI, of course. The MIDI of most
SDXs is available for purchase separately – but I don’t think that is the
case for Custom & Vintage. So, unfortunately, your complaints are
completely valid :-/
2. I don’t think so.
3. Yes.

You use the Bank Change to select EZXs. (The most significant part)
The User Presets are also considered to be a Bank, so you
can use Program Change to select from among them.

Haven’t tested with Bidule in 9 years. It is a cool different kind of host
where you route signals a bit like in an electronics schematic. Well, at least
it used to be. I can imagine that it might frown upon a VST that changes its
number of outputs.

EZdrummer is the song writer’s tool. EZ2 has great new features for finding
and modifying MIDI grooves. It is somewhat limited in what you can do
with the sounds but instead, what you can do, is easy to do and the results are
full quality professional sounds.
Superior is the producer’s/sound engineer’s tool. Here you are in total
control of the drum mix. The song writing features of Superior 2 are similar
to those of EZdrummer 1, i.e. rudimentary compared to EZdrummer 2.

Yes, it does not depend on the host. It happens whenever you
start using a new output while having a sample rate other than 44.1kHz.
Well, it doesn’t always crash. Sometimes there are beeps and glitches
instead.

Depending on what host you use you may even be able to use the
‘MIDI out’ feature of EZ2 to drive Superior directly.

>How do I get to the Edit/Play area?
This is a way to edit a MIDI loop. Start by dragging one
to the track and then double click it.

I think this is just a different symptom of the ‘multi-out sample rate crash’:

You are using a sample rate other than 44.1, right?

Yes, we have found that tambourine to be ‘broken’. We hope to fix that
in an update of ‘POP!’. The crashes should be pretty consistent given
a MIDI loop and a tempo, so if you are bold enough you may use it
before the fix.
