Are you working with the stand alone version and using the
load and save projects entries in the menu on the right hand side
    of the plug?

In that case you should start using the ‘Save’ and ‘Save As’
in the File menu of the hosting mini-app. That would be
up in the left corner somewhere.

Note that EZdrummer2 and EZdrummer2 Demo will not replace each other
in projects. They have different names and IDs. That is why you get the
message “Plug-in “EZdrummer” not available!”. You have the Demo installed
but your friend uses the full product.

There is a workaround. Your friend saves the state of EZdrummer by
Menu>Project>Save Project and send you the .ezdp-file too.
You then have to start up an EZ2 Demo in that Logic project
and route it correctly and then use Menu>Project>Load Project
to recreate the state of your friends project.

I am not sure about ‘MIDI Volume’ but try right-clicking on
a control (knob, slider) and see if it presents the MIDI learn
    menu.

    > I’d say you need to make that clearer on your product requirements page

The minimum requirements are 2GB RAM. Your machine qualifies,

    >EZDrummer, however, it only consumes about another 200MB,

That would depend on the EZX in use. The Modern and Vintage EZXs that
ship with EZ2 both use up some 700MB.

    >I have no problem running SQL Server 14 on this laptop along with
    > about ten other programs all at the same time.

Well, EZdrummer is a real time application and an SQL server is not.
If some of EZdrummer’s sounds are swapped onto disk by the OS
because some other application needs memory then EZdrummer’s
real time rendering process will hang until the OS has brought
back those sounds from the disk. This means that the sound card
will not get its buffer of sound in time and you get that buzz instead.
For an SQL server a request that comes 100ms late is usually not
    catastrophic.

Now, I don’t know for sure that your problem is that you run
out of memory but I would consider it likely. If I were you I
would close all other applications and stop all non-OS
SQL-servers or what else there is running on your machine
that isn’t necessary for the moment and see if that improves
the situation for EZ2. If it doesn’t then your problem is
    something else.

This is the way it sounds when you have ran out of memory.
Could possibly be something else, though.

EZdrummer2 will need about 1GB of free RAM.
Start up the Task Manager and check how much memory
you have ‘Available’. If it is less than 1GB before starting EZdrummer
then you need to close some other applications.

You can use the ‘X-drum trick’ to get one cymbal into an OH and Amb
mic of its own. Then you pan those new channels as you like.

Create an X-drum of the cymbal.
    Enter Microphone Assignment.
Drag the dark green OH mic to, or below, the orange New ‘mic’.
Do the same for any Amb mics you use.
Go to the mixer and pan your new mics to your liking.

You can only reclaim a slot once. You have two slots and
you can use them twice so that is 2 x 2 = 4.

The general idea is that you should be able to use our products
on your desktop and on your laptop and upgrade your
computers once during the lifetime of the product.
If you need more than that you have to ask for it.

You should remove your old iMac authorization from your Toontrack
account and use that slot for your new iMac. You can still use the
    software on your old iMac.

    > I’ll have to go through the process of activating each package, that will take ages!

You will have to remove the old iMac for all the packages that you want
to use on your new iMac. Then you can hopefully use the online
authorization in the sampler to authorize the expansions. It should
    be fairly quick.

Since you already have Superior2, EZXs and MIDI installed your options are pretty limited
when installing EZdrummer 2. The libraries will go where the EZXs already are
and the MIDi goes where your MIDI currently is. You are allowed to change
the EZHOME path but in this case you really shouldn’t. You can – but then
you have to reinstall your existing MIDI and EZXs.

    > It’s really a bummer that you cannot use the SDX packs in EZ2.

Since you have both EZ2 and Superior you can
enable ‘MIDI out’ in EZ2 and feed the MIDI to Superior 2.

Yes, all EZXs can be used by EZdrummer 2 and Superior 2.
