For me it’s very hard as well what Toontrack created here between EZD2 and EZD3.

Generally I liked my Toontrack tools, but that there is no way to just exchange EZD2 to EZD3 in a project including keeping of the arrangement is almost inacceptable.

I still have some older projects that would need a lot of work to bring it back to a state I had with EZD2.

For me a reason to stop any further investments in Toontrack tools because I can’t trust them anymore. Possibly this behaviour will be repeated again in the future an I might losse many hours of creative work again.

I just tried to do it.

 

In my Cubase project EZD 1 is inserted as a rack instrument. When I replace EZD 1 with EZD 3 in the rack it offers to create a new MIDI track for the instrument.

The EZD 1 track is deleted then but the rythm track is not in EZD 3

Any idea how I can get it done ?

A Focusrite Scarlett 18i20 3rd Gen (476€) has 10 balanced outputs. You would need standard adapter cables for XLR.

It has some interesting additional features and add ons. I guess, it should fulfill your requirements.

In my case I have often a short MIDI Track with some count in beats beginning at bar 1. These seem to work proberly.

The in EZdrummer I have the internal tracks normaly beginning with grooves at bar 3. And these are often not played when I start the song from the beginning.

Sometimes it works but not always.

I have a similar problem with EZ Drummer 3.0.3 and Superior Drummer 3.3.2 as well since they have been updated to these versions.

My DAW ist Cubase 12 Pro. When I start playing a project the drummer doesn’t always start to play. I have to start the project several times until the drummer plays.

Long time since this has been asked and I think, it‘s a valid user requirement.

Any news when it might be implemented. Seems to be not too much work for your developers.

You have all informations about the data structures at hand and EZD projects should be a subset for SD because of the extended capabilities of SD

Sure. Download and Installation are two steps. When the Download is complete, the Installation Button appears. Just Click it and the product will be installed. Very easy
