HALLELUJAH! Thanks John for guiding me through that. You’re a gent for putting up with my lack of knowledge! I shall recommend Toontrack support and their products to anybody that wants to listen! Thanks again, Alex

Hi, OK! That’s working, apart from the fact I apparently can only save one “segment” of my groove at a time. How do I save the whole drum arrangement for the song in one fell swoop? I really appreciate your time and help so far! Thanks, Alex

Hi John, I have enclosed 7 images of the version numbers of my products and plug-ins. Upon re-checking my “My Midifiles” folder. it contains a .DUMMY file containing 0 KB. I tried unzipping your attachment but Windows message said “Windows can’t open this file”

Hi again, Win-7 32 bit windows does not have programs x86
A 32 bit system only has a Programs folder
I located the “My Midifiles” folder via “C:Program FilesToontrackEZdrummerMidi” It doesn’t contain anything (“This folder is empty”).
I assume I have read and write access to this folder. So somehow I need to allow EZPlayer permission to write to this folder?
    Cheers, Alex

Hi, I have uninstalled all my products via Product Manager and then re-installed all of them, a total of 7 Toontrack products. Upon checking the installation info, everything is up-to-date and ready to use. I checked every sound and “groove” and all work correctly. However, sad to say, when I tried to save a “groove” I had assembled on EZlayer, once again, after clicking on “my midifiles” and trying to drag into the browser section, I still receive the following message – “Alert! – EZPlayer cannot get write access to this path. Please double click the folder to drag file manually”
So I’m still stumped! Any ideas? Thanks, Alex

Hi John, yes I am the administrator on the PC. When I launch Toontrack Product Manager, it tells me I have (1) Not Up-To-Date Product, the EZ Drummer. The EZ Drummer situation is as follows – Download (OK) Install (OK) Authorize (OK) 4 – Update
Below this it saya – “Updates downloaded” and then “Install Updates” (inside a red highlighted box)
Below this it says – “Ready to use” (with an OK tick)
When I click on Install the message appears “EZdrummer 32-bit Supplemental Update version 1.4.0 is already installed on this computer. Click Next to repair your installation or Cancel to exit this Wizard. Note that if you wish to change the product installation settings you must first remove this product using the Add/Remove Programs control panel before running this Wizard again.
So I click on Next (to repair?) and I finally receive the message “The Install Wizard has successfully installed EZdrummer 32-bit Supplemental Update. Click Finish to exit the Wizard.
That takes me back to the original Toontrack Product Manager Window and lo-and-behold, nothing has changed. It still says I have (1) Not-Up-To-Date Product, the EZDrummer! It tells me I have downloaded the update but installation status says “Not installed”
Upon checking Installation info – I notice it says under the following headings – Component – Software (version 1.4.0 installed) ; Pop/Rock EZX (version 1.0.0 installed – update available 1..4.0) ; Cocktail EZX (version 1.4.0 installed)
So it appears that my Software is up to date, my Cocktail EZX is up to date, but the rest of the EZX is failing to update for some reason? Hope this rather long info section helps solve the problem, Cheers, Alex

Hi John, thanks for the quick reply, I’m on Windows 7. I have only installed the 32 bit versions of my Toontrack software. If I download the 64bit as well, does that use up twice my memory? Should I remove the 32 bit and just restore with the 64 bit? Thanks for your help so far, as you can tell I’m not wise with technology, but I love the sound of the drum samples and want to learn to use the products correctly!
