I found run as  Admin.( no help) As far as contacting Toontrack they are very slow to repond if at all w/ emails.

I  was  on channel 10 because that’s what the Alesis manual said but I’ll put it back to default for now. Also how do I run as Admin  ??

Hey Shootie and all who might care. Apparently I am able to play a beat(on my Alesis Nitro kit) in the Tap to Find which does get saved at least temporarliy in the window just under the Tap to Find  button in the search tab. I can then save it to my User Midi section and I guess from there all is possible. I  am still not able to record “from my kit” directly to the Song Track window(at least not more than a few notes here and there) but I may not need to.

Shootie, You’ve been asking if have tried using a DAW. I have not yet because I figured I needed to get EZD2 to record properly, but can I play through a DAW and record now  ???( even though I may not be able to manipulate the midi files as much in a DAW) ???

I actually am also talking back and forth with Toontrack support. Like you said eventually the right question will lead me to the correct setting for this to work.

I am running an AMD  Ryzen 3900 x 12 core CPU 4.1 Mhz with 32 GB Ram 3600 Mhz

I have not installed a DAW yet as I have been waiting to get EZD2 recording. I have looked at  2 or 3.

I was thinking about checking out Steven Slate the base pkg is only about $150

To be honest I don’t like the idea of buying software that I can’t use telephone support

It must be plug and play because Alesis said it doesn’t need additional drivers

I re installed and it’s the same no recording except for sporadic single beats of kick, snare, tom and cymbal

I was also considering re-installing. Do  I need to remove the authorization  from my products first or just re-install

“I’m having issues with video but the process “works” in Tap to Find w/ my mouse and w/ my kit but in the song track window it works w/ my mouse but “not” with the kit(except for one kick drum beat)

When I try to record beats thru my Alesis Nitro kit,I do have it set to not play Alesis sounds and trigger Midi. I hear it all fine and see the drums being triggered in EZD2. It is playing back but only 1 kick frum beat, 1 snare and 1 ride cymbal(per 2 bar section) I’m assuming that I may need to set notation(or some setting)so that it picks up all the beats. Thanks

I had already done the Alesis settings which shut off internal and recognize Midi. It plays fine and when I tried to record the EXD2 sounds are triggered (I believe properly, I hear them and see the drums on EZD2 lighting up) I am however currently on hold with Alesis as it mentions how to record tp an external sequencer.
