Thanks John,
Ok, first things first – everything seems to be sorted. I searched again for both EZdrummer and EZkeys .dll files and only found one for each, both 32 bit, as I expected. I browsed for the sounds (I had tried before) and headed for ‘C:Program Files (x86)ToontrackEZDrummer’ as I’m an EZD1 upgrader – nothing there. So I then tried the ‘Common files’ route. As if by magic all sorted. So, both drums and piano are now back working, although all projects seem to have reverted to the default kit. I’ll live with that.
Thank you for your assistance – now off to write that classic,
Cheers
Sean
Thanks John,
Second reply from me, the previous got lost in the ether.
I did find additional EZdrummer .dll files and I have deleted all those not in the path provided by the 32 bit standalone. I have also uninstalled the 64 bit version. I hasn’t made any difference in Cubase and I have conducted a rescan from there to see what gets picked up. Still have the issue. EZdrummer via Cubase is greyed out except for the error message but I am able to select ‘about’ which tells me it is version 0.1.4.0. Product Manager and standalone version says 2.1.4. EZkeys via Cubase says 1.0.0.0 and via standalone/Product Manager is says 1.2.4.
Do you have any other suggestions? If I try a re-install do I need to uninstall first or will the process happen automatically?
Many thanks
Sean
Hi Olof, I’ve had similar ‘time out’ errors since trying to run Task Manager,

Hi Olof,
I’m using Windows 10. Strangely I can’t get Task Manager to open. I’ve tried numerous different ways (Googled it) but no luck. I have two Command Prompt options in the list. One has (Admin) after it but nothing happens when I select it (like Task Manager). Are you suggesting that I type Run as administrator in the Command Prompt that does open?
Thanks
Hopefully I can add another question here. I’ve just purchased one of those EZ Drummer 2 upgrades (informed by the retailer that still valid). My question, I am just about to get a brand new studio PC. Do I need to reinstall EX Drummer 1 then run the upgrade to EZ Drummer 2? Or is my ‘upgrade’ purely a discounted purchase of EZ Drummer 2? i.e. does the upgrade pack look for version one on my PC?
Thanks
