I have 18 kits in my EZD and don’t give a thought to what notes any of them are tuned to. The twin kicks are tuned high to make them heard through the heavy guitar, but that’s it.
Hi,
the automatic alternating of the Kicks can only be turned off in EZdrummer 3 by going into Settings > Advanced and turning Hit Variation to ‘Off’.
There is already a feature request to be able to do it more like in Superior Drummer 3.

John, is there a way to have alternate hits switched off, on and back off in the same DAW track? I’m having to do it by making two tracks.
Putting the kicks on two lines makes EZ read it as you’ve found. I used it to good effect on a song, with one drum tuned higher than the other. All you need to do, to have 1 2 1 2, is prog the beats on one line. You can have different tuning on each and even have two drums from different kits.
What are trying to do? You can switch off one of the drums by choosing None in the drum list.

Thanked by: Scott EshlemanIt’s behaving like a shut hat. Shut hats in drum kits are always quieter than open. You could change the volume of each hit in the midi piano roll.
Good luck on that. They don’t give refunds for being fussy and not knowing how to use Bandmate.
As far as I can work out, ambience is from a mic somewhere in the room picking up everything. The same is true of overhead mics. The bleed control is all you have to set how much of a drum is in them. Each drum has its own mic and level control.

Thanked by: David MidsIt works better with undistorted guitar than distorted. I give it clean bass lines and get good grooves back.
