I must say I am really angry at the moment. I trigger my edrums with a Roland TD-12. What drives me crazy is the extreme difference between Modern Metal and other EZXs. When I switch to Modern Metal from other EZX I have to adjust the volume extremely. Wearing headphones while playing is really painful, if I forget the adjustment.

I wrote to the Support, they said they contacted the development team. But, almost three months later, there is still no answer. Last week I wrote another Email, no answer so far.  That is really disappointing!

As Toontrack does not want to solve my problem, I need your support. Does anybody have the same issue, any solution? There is not problem with the midi-Input, this works independently from the chosen EZX. Sometimes Moden Metal EZX is also as quiet as the others.

That does not happen with Addictive Drums. That works fine with all kits out of the box.

A workaround would be to lessen the volumes in Metal’s mixer tab. It wouldn’t take long. You can run a groove so that you can hear the levels as you remix.

Hey everybody. I have a kick drum pattern that use 16th triplets and the humanize settings makes the kick switch between the left and right drum completely randomly. So it sounds awful. It will only play the right kick if I turn off the humanize effects. But that also makes the whole kit sound horrible. Does anyone know of a way to force EZdrummer to use just one kick instead of both? This has been a real headache.

You don’t say which build of EZD you have. I can only speak for EZD 3.

The simplest is to switch off one of the kicks. Open Drums tab, right click a kick and choose None.

Another way is to have the two kicks set to same, again in Drums tab, so that they sound the same. The dialogue box towards the top left is where you will find all the kicks.

I own EZ Drummer 2 and want to buy a midi pack für Hardrock drums. The manufacturer states i should use the superior Drummer 3 mapping so it sounds as intended.

But how do i apply the SD3 mapping to EZ Drummer 2 in Studio One?

    Any ideas please?

    Thank you

Mapping is done in ezdrummer. I don’t know how it’s done in EZD 2.

I’ve given you a fuller answer back in Facebook. It might be the fix you need.

I do all of my EZD editing in Studio One. Try that. I preview grooves in the EZD window and sometimes use Bandmate, but that’s all.

You might want the grooves in EZD 2. Leave it installed for now.
