Swirls are articulations in an expansion pack. Grooves are in MIDI files. Choose a groove and set the snare articulations to swirl in Grid Editor or your DAW.

Can you tell us anything more? What are you hearing? Which room, drum kit and preset are you working in? Are you working in an expansion pack?

 

You can pan drums to the middle in Mixer tab, but not set anything to mono.

I do it by having two monitors. One has my DAW, and the other has EZD. I can easily go between the two.

 

You might not want to buy a monitor for that.
