I drag the groove to where I want to copy it, hold down the ctrl key and let go of the mouse button.

Try recording into EZD, within Follow Host checked.

You would need an expansion that has a side snare. Pop Punk and Fusion both have one.

Are you recording the drums in EZD or in a Dorico track? If EZD, you need to switch on Follow Host towards the left of the row of buttons along the bottom of the EZD window.

That happens when an EZD kit has only one active tom. When any hit instrument is missing or inactive, EZD will play another of the same kind.

How many toms are in the Dark Industrial kit you’ve loaded?

Are any greyed out in the graphics?
