Bandmate is for making a drum to track to go with another instrument track, not for copying a drum track.

Put the MIDI into EZDrummer through File menu. Now open Grid Editor. Select the ‘wrong’ drum notes and drag them to the drum you want them on.

Thinking further, you can export as MIDI, and he can use that in any MIDI plugin. The drums and cymbals it plays might not be the same.

I drag the groove to where I want to copy it, hold down the ctrl key and let go of the mouse button.

Try recording into EZD, within Follow Host checked.
