All Toontrack MIDI packs have roughly the same amount of files. (i.e. between 400 and 500 files).

    Hi Frank,

Please contact Toontrack support from the contact support/FAQ link. http://www.toontrack.com/faq/

When you contact them please provide any old email addresses that you may have used to register your EZDrummer 1. (i.e. dont post your email in the public forum).

They can then move your licenses to your new Toontrack account so that you can purchase the upgrade.

    Hi,

From looking in your account I can see that you have EZDrummer 2. In EZDrummer 2’s Search page there is a button near the top called “Show webshop MIDI”

IF you click this button and then choose a songwriters pack from the list of Library filters, you will be able to audition every MIDI file that comes in this pack.

I provide this suggestion because it is very difficult to tell someone else which pack they would like best…

From your description I would also check out the Blues MIDI packs in addition to the Songwriters packs.

    Hi,

There is no Time limit. Just make sure to save the licenses in a safe place so that they are not lost.

This will simply create an additional OH channel. It will not do anything to the existing channel.

You could choose replace on the mapping screen if you want the x drum to replace the mapping for the original ride. Im guessing that this is what you want to do.

    Hi,

In Toontrack solo make sure that the MIDI device that you are using has a check to the left of the name. It is a common mistake for a user to click on the name of the device but leave the box unchecked. IF the box is unchecked then the device is not selected. (This is in Options > MIDI device).

    Hi,

Sorry for the confusion. The EZdrummer 2 libraries do not have dedicated snare roll articulations.

A MIDI map for the EZdrummer 2 libraries can be found by clicking Menu > Sound Libraries > EZDrummer 2 Modern > MIDI layout.

    Hi,

In order to be of assistance we will need the exact error message that you receive.

Please note that EZDrummer 2 is not supported on XP and it will NOT install on XP. Windows 7 however is supported and the installation will work..

Please copy and paste all of the text in the error and post it here.

    Hi,

    Yes this is possible.

After you add the Ride x drum go to the Microphone assignments window (in the x drum section). Then Drag the Green “OH” box to the orange “New” box.

This will create a separate overhead channel in the mixer for X-Drum overhead. It will be called overhead, but since you only have a single ride in this channel it will be a ride channel.

The only supported way of using tempo changes would be to have the MIDI file on a track in your host. Then have the output of that MIDI file sent to EZDRummer 2. EZDrummer 2 will need to have the Follow host button engaged.

The tempo changes will then be created by the host and EZDrummer 2 will follow the host.

    H- Setting up Mackie Traktion
EZdrummer MIDI Out function requires Traktion version 3 or later.
Before you start, you should make sure that you are familiar with how to operate Virtual Instruments in your host and that you have a copy of your drum sampler configured for Audio and MIDI playback.
    1) Inserting the plug-in:
    • insert EZDrummer 2 as a filter on a new track and click Menu > enable MIDI out.

    2) Setting up:
    • Insert the instrument that will receive the MIDI as a new filter on a separate track
    • Select the EZDrummer 2 track and change its properties so the
destination output is the track where you inserted YFSG
    • In EZDrummer 2, press Play

Just to be 100% clear. Toontrack MIDI was tagged by a person…. all 90,000 files. It is not calculated by a computer.

It would be impossible for Toontrack to tag all of the nearly infinite amount of 3rd party MIDI that is out there.

There may be a solution in the future for users to tag their own MIDI as Erik previously said in this thread: “Designing a area that allow you users to tag your own MIDI and to do so in an Easy way is not something that we wanted to rush through. We are still discussing how to implement this but it on our short list. As to when and how we figure out how to do it (easy) is another question.”
