As far as I know mix craft is only a 32 bit application… therefore it will not be able to use a 64 bit plugin.

The solution will be to install the 32 bit version of EZmix 2, and then use the Mixcraft plugin manager to set the path to the installed location of the EZmix 2 Dll file.

It is NEVER a good idea to manually move or copy and paste Dll files to a different location. Instead use the plugin manager in Mixcraft to set the path to the plugin.

The location of the EZmix DLL file can be found by launching the EZmix 2 32 bit stand alone app and then clicking Help > show plugin path.

    Hi,

The percussion is triggered by MIDI notes 1,2 and 3. Way at the bottom of the keyboard.

Please however see this FAQ regarding the EZDrummer 2 percussion.

    HI dlblack,

It is impossible for SoundMover to have caused this pro tools error and it is simply a coincidence.

Running Soundmover simply “Told” EZdrummer where it could find its sound files… and in this case it did not actually move anything (it just repaired a path in a preference file).

IF pro tools is reporting that it is low on memory, unfortunately it is running low on memory. The only solution is to use less RAM. This can be done by unloading any extra unneeded instruments in EZdrummer. This can be done by clicking on the instrument and selecting none.

You can also save a blank groove that you create to the user MIDI section in the browser.

Please also post questions regarding EZdrummer operation in the appropriate EZDrummer support forum and not in the customer service forum.

Here is a link to the EZDrummer support forum.

    HI,

In Stand alone please click Settings > Audio Setup > Audio Device > Then select the proper audio device for your system.

Please also click the input channel option and select the appropriate input channel (i.e. that your guitar is plugged into).

I have EZdrummer1 and have installed Ezdrummer 2. I did not install EZdrummer 1. When I go to protools and call up the plugin, EZdrummer 1 loads ups,
It appears that the EZdrummer2 plugin did not replace the EZdrummer1 plugin in the “VstPluginsToontrack” folder. The file ezdrummer.dll is in that folder.
Should there be a ezdrummer2.dll file in that folder instead now?
What can I do to fix this?

    Hi Tnewt,

Please make sure that yo have installed both the 32 and 64 bit versions of EZdrummer 2. Then restart the computer. This should solve the issue.

    HI,

Yes you can use Toontrack Drum MIDI files with other programs. Please however keep in mind that the MIDI mapping of Toontrack files will not exactly correspond to other instruments in Kontakt.

Toontrack MIDI mapping is based in general MIDI so it will be close, but you may need to do some re mapping. EZplayer pro is a handy tool for that.

Yes, the files will be instantly available for download upon purchase.

    Hi Jon,

Please update to version 2.0.1. WE can see in your video that you are using 2.0.0.

Also, raising the velocity (not volume) on an opening cymbal hit is not possible because opening hits already use a maximum velocity of 127. Lowering will work however.

The 2.0.1 update is found in your account under My account > My products > EZDrummer 2 > Updates

this is just a suggestion… and it certainly not free. But RME has some of the best drivers for PC and can achieve the lowest latency that Im aware of… Might be worth checking into.

The most likely cause of this issue is running sound mover incorrectly.

Soundmover looks like an installer but it is not, it is actually a utility that will move the EZdrummer folder to the specified location.  SoundMover can be found in Applications/Toontrack/SoundMover

In this instance we recommend running SoundMover once again. This time however, please set it to MacHD/Library/Application support.  Please see the attached picture that shows exact how to do this.Soundmover.png

If you have “Follow Host” active and click the record button inside EZdrummer2, starting playback in ProTools will record any MIDI sent to EZdrummer2, so you can just copy the MIDI that way. Hope that helps :)

Thanks, Patrik! I’ll try that. I did try to drag a MIDI file from the desktop into EZD2, but could not get it to work. The file would not move from the desktop into the app. It could be some Windows 7 setting or some such.

You can not drag and drop a file from the desktop to the pro tools plugin but you can drag and drop a file from the desktop to EZDrummer 2 stand alone. You can then save the EZdrummer 2 project (menu > Project > Save project). Finally you would open this project in EZDrummer 2 launched in pro tools (menu > Project > Load project)

Well, that’s interesting. I’m using Pro Tools 11. Any idea whether or not this DAW allos said behavior? Thanks!

No, Pro tools AAX plugins do not allow dragging back into EZdurmmer 2.
