You can mute the low tones by choosing them on the keyboard on the left side, holding shift if there is more than one line. Then right-click and mute or shortcut m to mute.

No, it only works in EZkeys 2. I’m sorry I didn’t see you were on EZkeys 1. Maybe you’re interested in seeing how easy it’s done in EZkeys 2, you just push the + sign in the red square.  I’ve attached a picture.

You still have the option to save your project under different file names though.

There is a simpler way to accomplish this. Create as many new tracks as needed and copy and paste the chords into those tracks. After that, select the MIDI grooves you prefer for each track. You can also name the tracks if you’d like. Just remember to save your project as a file!

I see your point. Then I suggest you contact Toontrack and ask them to update EZ Keys 2 to reflect your wishes.

Am is the relative minor to C major, hence the same result. You must change the key signature to E major in bar 3 and maybe edit the chord to E with G# in the bass. Then change it back to C major again in bar 4.

It is possible to change the key signature for that or more bars.

You create the chords in C-major. G is the fifth tone and or chord in C-major. The chord E doesn’t belong to a C-major; Em conversely does and is the second chord in C-major. So it would be natural not to use G# in C-major, hence EZ-keys 2 would refer to Ab.

Every Toontrack product e.g. EZkeys 2, EZbass, EZdrummer 3 and Superior Drummer 3 are separate Apps and Plugins. You’ll need a DAW (Digital Audio Workstation) and separate tracks for each one to combine them.

If you look for Shootie School on YouTube you’ll find videos on how to.

You can add an extra track and keep the original in one track, copy and paste it to the new track and do your editing there. You can even rename the track names by right-clicking on them.

Choose the right key, before you begin entering the chords you want to use. If you want to change key in the middle of a song, use the “+ Add Key Signature Change” tab.

No, it does not. As I mentioned before the MIDI in the Grooves tab is recorded with and played by a real drummer. Do yourself a favour and experiment with the velocity tab open in Grid Editor, then you can see what happens! And remember to choose all parts of the drums! And use your ears!

What browser? Look at the velocity, in the Grid Editor choose all (cmd A) if you’re on a Mac, if they’re all lined up horizontally use Humanize. In the Timing tab, you have even further options. Or go the hard way and do it manually.

No that’s not necessary. It should be turned off in the Grid Editor by default. Use it when you make your own beats. All the grooves in the Grooves tab are made by a real drummer. Have a look at Shawn from Shootie School on YouTube.

First, write your song in 12/8, then change the time signature from 12/8 to a lower time, e.g. 6/8, and then subdivide.

I don’t think you can achieve that with the current Cinematic EKX expansions. But with the EZKeys Session Grand, you get very close to a Bösendorfer. I have Steinberg, The Grand 3, which has a Bösendorfer 290 and sounds almost alike.
